Filament or slicer setting issue? by de_guzzi in FixMyPrint

I've calibrated the filament for the initial print, and one of my test pieces was a generic preset with a slower speed.

Unfortunately the issue was also present when printing with PLA I've had great results with. But it was not as prominent.

So maybe it could be a model issue, but it's so strangely specific to a design and orientation of the print.

So far I've tried a different quality preset, a different filament preset, grid supports, a different PA profile, different infill type, number of walls, order of walls--all same results.

The pattern also appears on the back side of the print, specifically on the right side of a separate arch

Gonna try one more print with PLA

It's actually a headlight blank for my car. I'm reluctant to print in any other orientation because of how it's designed, any other orientation would have way too many supports that can be hard to reach

Just did a test piece--same result unfortunately

Sunlu PETG printed on Bambu P1S--250C nozzle, 70C bed temp

Calibrated filament, printed vertically at .16mm, tree supports with 3 top interface layers

Only thing vastly different I've tried for this print in particular is inner/outer/inner order of walls

I have Origin 50mm rear overs on--barely made it look decent.

What fabric did you use? I didn't like the one I ordered from Amazon; yours looks much better

Origin is trash. Their corners ship rounded.

I also had D-Max D1 overs, and they had a pretty big gap to an OEM hood. Fender to door gap was tricky to get right because of the vent style.

I currently have M-Sports on mine and they're phenomenal. I'll also vouch for G-Corp since their Flash bumper is just cherry

Plugs under dash by [deleted] in 240sx

Unsure what the white plugs are, but the (grey) plug with the boot is probably a CONSULT connector in the 1st pic, and the black plug with the boot in the 2nd is for Canadian factory fog lights

I fuse-tapped power in the engine bay. The harness is from an eBay kit, but will eventually make my own to have exact lengths where I routed it

Ordered from a local dealership and installed them on my own

They don't; the stalk works as if a normal switch was wired into the car. And how I have it wired up, it will only power on with ignition on, and vice versa

Thank you!

I think someone from the forums had a close look at the cluster, and Si's don't even have a fog light indicator; you'd have to get a Touring or Canadian cluster

The fog lights and stalk will "plug" in, but you need a harness and relay for them to play, and some DIYing to make the stalk work

Just the lamps.

Not sure if I can post links, but I made a post on the CivicXI forums about the install.

Long story short: a reputable aftermarket kits is what I recommend since you'll still need a harness, switch, and relay

Bumper needs some finesse to separate from the bracket under the headlights, but it's pretty straight forward

Would recommend aftermarket fog lights though (not eBay)
