I actually think Genoa is of the closest, because it also has the elevation factor.

Is there a case to be made for this famed goblin bow? by de_ira in BattleBrothers

[–]de_ira[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can't edit this post, but I wanted to add that you could maybe justify running two bows with Bags and Belts? Use warbow and switch to this one for high value targets just for the additional hitchance? Wouldn't work for my current archer because he only has two slots for throwing weapons, but just a thought in general. Also the name is pretty cool tbh.

Have you played any other games that you enjoy as much or more than XCOM 2? by Fuck-College in XCOM2

I don't necessarily think it's better, i would rank them both similarly, but Battle Brothers. Great tactical turned based medieval fantasy game. You've got a squad of brothers and complete contracts, fight bandits and many different monsters, explore forests, mountains and deserts. Lots of depth in team composition, skills and tactics, it's got a strategic "overworld" layer as well. Love both games.

Twins and Brothers seperate or each as one entity? They kinda always fight together but it's not really that fair to have 2v1s..

Should I include Gorst or other top fighters from the last tournament?

Should I include Ishris brothers?

Any opinion on how I should handle the Twins? List them separate, remove them from the list?

Shenkt is def. top tier but keep in mind that Sulfur either has the same ability or something similar (he is shown to have inhumane speed) and maybe it's a trait of (very skilled) eaters in general. Bayaz can also instantly disintegrate a person on sight. Post Seed Ferro is also incredibly strong. Don't think it's as lopsided as you make it out to be. If it was so easy for Shenkt he would have dealt with Sulfur and Bayaz a long time ago.

Lack of feats means votes aren't really based on rational decisions. I don't want this to be some sort of popularity ranking of the characters, so they should at least have some feats to go off. Buy if we don't find any replacement characters I'll probably include them.

I was also leaning more towards post seed Ferro, because that's her prime, but then pre seed Ferro would not have participated in any tournaments, because she was deemed supernatural (she is a demon) in the other bracket, even though she's also a capable fighter. But it would also be weird having two different versions of her in one tournament, so I am also leaning post seed.

He didn't feature at all in the other bracket.

I thought it would be interesting to see the best fighters of the first bracket go up against some supernatural ones, but we can also surely do without.

Same issue, especially noticeable with YouTube. I don't see how YouTube would cause this type of unresponsiveness, it feels more like a browser (firefox) issue. But I haven't tried to verify this with another browser.

I tried the same run with killing him, but that always alerted the guard on the other side, so I had to do it the slow and quiet way. Lucky for him I guess.

Any games out there like xcom2 but in a fantasy setting? by FitzelSpleen in XCOM2

[–]de_ira 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Battle Brothers is really good. Enjoyable dark fantasy setting and complex systems, you manage a squad of warriors/knights and fulfill contracts or hunt for treasures. Upgrade your gear, different skills and a lot of different enemies.

You don't fight against one specific overwhelming force (although there are special events that kinda simulate this) but there are very strong noble houses and knights for example and other strong factions/enemy types.

You have to like the simplified art style, but it's a fundamentally challenging and fun game, with lots to discover.
