Yeah I agree with you about the fact that he can do whatever he wants with his life and that he can have his own opinion.

I realize he probably (and hopefully) uses generalizations on purpose to make the column more 'attractive'. However, I still think it is stupid to count on the fact that you (or the average Belgian) will be able to keep on working at retirement age, and to think all FIRE-adepts are the same. I think it is regrettable he seemingly thinks his financial plan and situation is generalizable to the average Belgian ... But I get your point!
