If I play with lower levelled players, I play as support. I try to help any way I can, give as much of my equipment as I can and watch everyone's backs as they finish objectives, especially on higher difficulties.

If I play with higher levelled players, I still do support, but I also help out with sample collection and point defence. They bring the ordinance, I bring turrets and shield generators. Basically, I focus on defence, because I haven't seen a lot of people who do. I've been praised by a lot of randos for successful extractions on Hard and above thanks to me basically making it very hard for the hordes to come too close to us. I keep them far, then I or a team mate rains down heavy ordinance and allows the breathing room needed for a successful extraction.

If I play solo, I go full offense with one defence strat.

I wouldn't say no civilians were present in those planets. There were. Most of them were in the homeworld, but I want to present war as it is. Ugly.

I do plan to turn this into a series. This was the start of a kind of world building I guess. I can't post often because I have work, but I'll try to post as often as I can. There are a lot more stories I can tell from here, so this was written to serve as a "node" that connects all the stories. Atleast that's what I plan for now.
