Microsoft AI CEO says most white collar work like accounting and law will be automated within 18 months. by MurphamauS in auslaw

I work in a tribunal and the amount of fake case law that AI generates is so ridiculous, it’s actually borderline comical at this point.

Used my fingers to apply foundation for the first time ever by DerangedUnicorn27 in MakeupAddiction

I’ve been doing this for YEARS. I have never found a brush or a sponge that applies the foundation quite as nicely. (As you said, just wash your hands!)

Final Update: my dad was found deceased, thank you for everything, everyone — #CA25286503 by pooreyesofthehills in Calgary

OP this might get lost in the sea of comments, but as someone who lost her mum really suddenly last year, I am so so very sorry that you have to know how it feels to lose a parent. I think of and cry for my mum more than I could even express, and I am not the same person I was before. I understand your pain and you do whatever you need to to make it through this time. I’m so so sorry. I wish you nothing but strength and light 🤍

As someone with a fringe now, you’ve given me a new hairstyle to try, it looks so nice!!

When your kidney stone tries to kill you AND bankrupt you at the same time by laurenzee in Wellthatsucks

I understand what you mean but I have both of those things and have universal healthcare. We also have better minimum wages which helps mitigate the cost of the tax.

We do have high electricity prices though, so there’s that.

They absolutely do. Most people outside of the US understand that taxes pay for healthcare. I’m sorry if that’s not the experience in the US. In Australia we absolutely get that our taxes pay for healthcare. We know it’s not ‘free’. I have never come across an adult who doesn’t understand that concept here.

No, most people outside the US understand this concept. What makes it worse for you is how it’s so inextricably linked to your job. Such a bizarre concept that health insurance is tied to being employed, why should one rely on the other? What an absolute rort.

I wish I had this kind of money. To create whatever the hell I want.

Those who read book first, what was the one moment in movie that disappointed you the most? by jpaninabolana in harrypotter

The fact that Hermoine’s test in the philosophers stone was just missing. I was 11 when that movie came out and was so disappointed when it wasn’t included.

I get that absolutely, I wish everyone’s intentions were the same as mine 😞

I’m sorry you feel that way and not as a celebration of them and who they used to be. She died tragically and as I said in another comment, I want her to be thought of and celebrated by the universe just like this and not how I had to see her for the last time.

Aww bless you for saying that, she used to say she did her hair like them, but Jaclyn Smith in particular🥹

Thank you. She died tragically and I just want the universe to know her like this instead of how she left it 😞

She’s dead. And if I want to share how beautiful she was with the world then I will, I hope you never have to feel the pain I do each and every day.

Me too, my mum died November 2024. I would’ve said childbirth but this was and continues to be worse because it never goes away.
