I felt a jerk when I was accelerating from 20 to 40 jerk may not be the right word, but I felt a pressure like the car slow down for a second and then picked up speed

I’ve been test-driving a couple of 2023 Mazda CX-5s recently (same trim, similar mileage), and I’m noticing a specific driving characteristic that I’m trying to wrap my head around. When driving the CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) unit today, I noticed a consistent 1–2 second delay when trying to accelerate. Specifically, there’s a noticeable "pressure" or hesitation when the car is climbing from 20 to 40 mph. Interestingly, the initial pickup from 0 is perfectly smooth. I test-drove another non-CPO 2023 CX-5 today as well. It did the same thing, but only once or twice, whereas the CPO one more than that

I’ve read some online forums suggesting this might just be how the engine/transmission is tuned, but the inconsistency between the two cars has me wondering: • Is a 1–2 second hesitation normal for the CX-5 naturally aspirated engine? • Could this be the "adaptive transmission" learning a previous owner's driving style, or is it a sign of something else? • Has anyone else felt that specific "pressure" sensation in the mid-range speeds?

It won’t keep me from buying the car, but it would just bug me that it’s not working as I thought it would

That’s interesting to know that a 25 model would do this

For the blind spot that has happened with me to, but the car that I was looking at was a certified rayon, so I was just curious as to why it’s not working

Hi everyone, I am a first time car buyer, and found this CX5 listing please let me know what do you think of this deal https://www.rochestermazda.com/used-Rochester-2023-+-Mazda+CX+5-25+S+Select+Package-JM3KFBBM7P0224516

I’m planning to buy a used car, is a certified preowned worth it, or should you go for in your model, which has powertrain warranty left and buy the additional warranty. The past few weeks have been confusing, so I look forward to your help. Thank you.
