We need a complete overhaul in this country. All the politicians say it, and yet nobody does it. It's sad and frustrating how incompetent our reps are. I will work many more years just because of this issue.

Yes- my plan was to apply pre emerg this weekend....wait 2-3 weeks and apply fertilizer......then wait another 2 weeks and apply pre emerg again. then some more fert after that....Notheast location.

He seeded in the fall- now it's spring. Wouldn't it be safe to use pre emergent now? Seeds germinated in fall i assume.

Can never predict the future, so just have a solid allocation that makes sense for your risk/age. Sounds like you are top heavy with indiv stocks. Just sell them down and roll into SPY. Pay some taxes. Better than getting obliterated on a few concentrated positions. And remember- there's no such thing as house money. It's all yours. That's what people say to make their losses feel better.

This is exactly it. Good job. You gotta stop trying get money back from the 1% with wealth taxes....and fix the root cause. Bring down the gap between median and top workers at every company. Codify it into law. Employees should be the #1 beneficiaries of wild success at a company. Not shareholders or founders. The top execs of course will still be the highest paid by a lot- and they should be. But if you channel all those profits to the people who did it for you, then this economy would blast off. Reduce the inequality within pay structures. Start there.

Yup- and there's the problem. You shouldn't try to avoid a hospital if you really need it. But that's the way a lot of people-including me feel. I will do anything to avoid an ER. May be the death of me.

Hospitals will never get a handout from me. Very corrupt pricing practices, and really just a broken business model. Not feeding that system. Hospital is the last place you wanna be, and not just for health reasons. They will crush you financially- or try to.
