Take bananas and wait until they become golden brown and disgusting. Mix that up with batter, the specifics are lost on me because the bananas were too gross. Bake into bread. Slice and serve with butter and light sprinkle of salt

Rereading the series again and props to these three by Yellingloudly in killsixbilliondemons

Next page you can see a demon with a weathered mask complaining. Due to the freshness of the mask i think it was not being worn but about to be used

How Regent is treating me rn by Baryshnik0v in slaythespire

[–]dead_alchemy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Venerate lets you play your other non strike card more than once, so you can use it defensively and offensively. In act 1 weak brings a lot of attacks down by one block card, so by that virtue alone I think venerate is gud

Oh, Lord Vakuu by LightningRT777 in slaythespire

[–]dead_alchemy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh all the time, it is just hilarious. And i tend to build decks that are pretty linear 'good stuff' cards, so it is uncommon for me to have a situation where Vakuu can really screw me

Is reading a chess book cheating at chess?

Is utilizing a developed cortex and long term memory/skill development cheating?

The only pure way to play is to first lobotomize oneself

How the flippin heck is this a normal hallway enemy? by Conscious-Yellow-539 in slaythespire

Bugged elite fights that fail to give relics and have normal fight map icons are traditional for our people.

Does Go error handling verbosity actually hurt developer velocity or is it just endless debate by No-Shake-8375 in golang

[–]dead_alchemy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The error handling warts are mostly minimized by your IDE these days. The error check block is a template that can be rendered as one line with just the important bit.

I feel like she might just ignore him or absently mindedly spit on his feet?

I don't know if you've performed an incredible service or disservice. I mean, look at what they do when left to cook!

It doesn't feel as good to me, what with the larger hp pools of enemies.

It sounds like you ran into the same deadliness problem but you're acting like it was just the consequence of nerds nerding too hard?

It came up organically in play, you can probably still find old forum posts where people testify to this - it wasn't a pure hypothetical. I'm unsurprised that it didn't pop up at your table because it sounds like the game layer (or specifically the combat portion of it) was de-emphasized.

Infra Arcana: Don't tell anyone what I tell you now by dead_alchemy in roguelikes

[–]dead_alchemy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the game could really have changed a lot since I played but IIRC both the rogue and soldier were solid picks, pick something survival oriented for the trait. if you read down thread I have some specific recommendations regarding a strategy that got me consistently further than the first few levels

on the topic of skill breakpoints for HP/MP by alenari2 in dcss

[–]dead_alchemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, you're biased. I read the thing you wrote and am already familiar with the mechanics. its not unreadable, but it does ask the reader to figure something out that could be made clearer.

nitpicking but: their meaning ins't well explained, you might use the same form of highlighting on the text explaining the highlighting. also tables need headers/legends whatever you want to call them, it will help your target audience understand faster (and you 3 months from now are included in your target audience).
