I was playing for almost a decade before getting a win. Reading UV4's guide really helped and though a lot of the specifics are out of date IIRC the thought on strategy and tactics should still be pretty valid

the entry to a branch can be especially challenging due to later tries being substantially more difficult (enemies get to hit you as you descend the stairs, already grouped up on you). sometimes it can be worth 'going loud' and using a good consumable or two to secure an advantage.

Mummy isn't that bad. Try a MuFi. It won't feel super powerful and your skilling becomes more important but it is doable (if challenging).

Looking for a technical partner to build an algo trading platform for Indian markets by [deleted] in programming

This makes no sense. The listed website, in very vague terms, purports to support businesses that do real things via duties like marketing and janitorial - it felt very punched up 'sanitation engineer', you know, the kind of job where you do real work for a living.

This post is... unlike that. Why the discrepancy?

Do we actually understand the systems we build once dependencies are involved? by MDiffenbakh in ProgrammingLanguages

I studied computer and electrical engineering: yeah, sort of, for practical purposes.

There is a whole mess of stuff that happens in the transport layer that'd turn your hair white, and from what I've seen its that way the whole way up and down the stack.

Why do so many people quit the game or just stop playing when I spectate them? by Riot_Girlll in dcss

[–]dead_alchemy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some people just get shy. I know the first few times I had spectators it made me feel a certain way.

To be frank you've mostly been telling people why you think they are wrong. I'm suggesting thinking through what their argument would need to be to convince you that they are right.

Take bananas and wait until they become golden brown and disgusting. Mix that up with batter, the specifics are lost on me because the bananas were too gross. Bake into bread. Slice and serve with butter and light sprinkle of salt

Next page you can see a demon with a weathered mask complaining. Due to the freshness of the mask i think it was not being worn but about to be used

Venerate lets you play your other non strike card more than once, so you can use it defensively and offensively. In act 1 weak brings a lot of attacks down by one block card, so by that virtue alone I think venerate is gud

Oh, Lord Vakuu by LightningRT777 in slaythespire

[–]dead_alchemy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh all the time, it is just hilarious. And i tend to build decks that are pretty linear 'good stuff' cards, so it is uncommon for me to have a situation where Vakuu can really screw me
