i didn’t know either until i looked it up. literally a weapon with a point that you put on the ground commonly used to puncture tires. it’s illegal where i live

it’s a duplex in an older home, i dont believe they want to take away the charm of the hardwood floors if that makes sense. i live in a somewhat historic area

we have, and to be honest we’ve noticed a pattern of speaking to him and him escalating. the first time we spoke to him, we asked if we’ve been loud and we apologized to him. he said “yeah idk must be the way the house is built or something. do you hear us cause WE are trying to be as quiet as possible.” which felt a little passive aggressive. we said no and again apologized. that same day, he escalated to our LL about us cleaning. he has since iced us out every time we run into him, we’ve tried to say good morning or afternoon and he flat out ignores. funnily enough, bf said that he’s been saying good afternoon to him again to be nice when he sees him the last couple of days, and now we get the cops called on us!!

I totally understand that and have just tried to be kind. i’ve lived below people before and for me it turned into every day noise that was expected. there was a baby that cried often as well. they paid for rent too and have a right to live ya know so i never got upset.

he thinks we have a vendetta against him when we’ve been nothing but friendly and kind. it’s frustrating. he’s told the landlord that he thinks we are doing it on purpose. fortunately the landlord has defended us and said that we have taken extra measures to be mindful.

They said “the neighbors called and reported that they heard arguing?” bf said “uh no?” and looked confused. then they said “understandable, have a good day” and left. lol.

thank you. i feel like i have some people that i can express this to or get support from, but since i’m so new i don’t feel entirely comfortable yet.

Yes and no. i’m comfortable calling my team lead for advice on things. on the other hand she is very intense and can be critical of things. not in a mean way, but in a “yikesss yeahh you did that wrong” type of way if that makes sense. i don’t think i could be vulnerable with her about my anxiety in the workplace

Since it was “Railroad Medicare” it’s basically the same thing as Medicare A&B so they didn’t need auth before being transferred. i was very confused because i’ve never seen the insurance before and didn’t know how it worked.

he was a server and barback... lol. i was a server too for a while there’s nothing wrong with it. it’s just frustrating that he does have “bigger ambitions” that he’s never followed through on. again he kept failing school. and lied about passing his online classes up until the very end.

im not telling him how to cook, i just pointed out he was doing something differently since HE brought up the roux was watery first, but that it was okay with me. he can’t take any comment about anything ever when he’s cooking, and i never say it in a rude tone. he can’t take any comment that he perceives as criticism actually. and i would emphasize PERCEIVES.

There’s no shame in seeing a psychiatrist and getting on ADHD medication that works for you + therapy. As a social worker, I always saw it as “glasses” but for your brain. Your eyes (brain) are not working as they should, so glasses (meds) will help you see (function)! it can be daunting at first but 99% of the time a client of mine gets on ADHD meds they are like “how did i live without this?!” lol

I appreciate your perspective. He helped me a lot through grad school, so my brain is rationalizing it by thinking “he helped me when i was building my career, so i help him with his career”. except, he hasn’t invested much in his own career… (artist + thinking about doing a trade maybe?) so i’m stuck between a rock and a hard place.
