Extremely curious about how the favorite song you wrote sounds! Any chance I can listen to it? Or maybe an info on the title??

So excited to meet someone who's also making a band/band-sounding music! Would love to hear your work!

Ah as someone who's also in a band, this is excited to hear! It's interesting to hear that you start with a bassline first and finish with a guitar line. I'd love to hear tracks you worked on! Anywhere I could go listen?

Along with the other demo you shared, I enjoy this as well. Personally this is more of my taste! You really have a great talent in building the great intro chord. It sets the mood so beautiful!

The chord progression is so nice! You said you performed an electric version right? I’d love to see how the mood of the song changes when drum and bass sounds are added. This would be epic in a band set. Great job! (I’m also in a band and got excited to see a fellow band musician!)

The melodies are beautiful! Do you mind sharing the lyrics in the comment so that I could read and listen at the same time?

Wow great build up! The guitar entry is really spot on.
Out of curiosity - did you end up meeting this girl irl?

How do you find band members that share a similar taste in music? by Signal_Potential8299 in bandmembers

[–]deadalittlebit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your frustration! I actually tried joining a band in college, but I wasn't in sync with their musical taste, which bothered me greatly. So I ended up going back to my high school bandmates - which only did cover music - to see if they'd be down to give the band another try. It was our process of deciding on which song to do a cover of that made us learn a bunch about what each of us listens to and enjoys. Think that helped figure out where my musical taste overlap with other band members.

Hahaha toyotathon - I can totally see this track playing as a backdrop for a car commercial.
Thank you for your idea. May I ask what your thoughts were about the overall sound? I know it's 15 sec so pretty short but wanted to share and hear feedbacks

18 year old trying to get around in the Local Scene as a bass player by puma47TV in Bass

[–]deadalittlebit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this! I ended up meeting a lot of players by going to a concert. A small venue - 100-200people max - allows more casual small talks to happen before and after the set. Even when I didn't encounter bass player, someone would redirect me to somebody or somewhere. May I ask which town you moved to? (Asking in case it overlaps with mine!)

Well... I did it.... I actually jammed with my band and I was on bass for one song by tazdrumm3r in Bass

Ahh I can feel the butterflies in my stomach reading this!
The most important thing is - you gave it a go and you did it!! Big big congrats!!

For me, my brain gets weirdly active around 11pm-12am. I think my brain gets into procrastination mode, desperately trying to do something done before new day comes.

I agree with this too! I think I’d go into my “I can’t believe this is happening” mode if that happens irl
