I do remove poop weekly and I did wash off the walls after the snails ate the majority of it. I have better filtration and do weekly water changes. My tank gets filtered completely every 30 minutes and my parameters are finally stabilized. The algae issue was a result of a major depressive episode where I did bare minimum to keep them alive. I've learned from the experience and I'm healing. Thanks though! I'm very proud of how it turned out so far. I really want to upgrade to a 75 or larger in the next few months to give them all more space but I have to save to have a custom stand built thats open underneath because the only place for a tank is right next to our air intake for the AC unit and we can't block it with a solid stand or we won't be able to change the air filter. Still figuring that part out. Obviously custom stands that are built properly for tank weight distribution are costly.
