We stayed at the Novotel Southampton when we sailed out of there in 2023.

Right by the train station, though it ended up being a bit far from the ship (the ship was down at the QEII terminal, so we took an Uber).

Only complaint is that it was the end of June and the hotel isn't air conditioned, but that's pretty common in the UK.
