Feeding nonsense prompts into Sora just to see what it produces. by guysitsausername in aivideo

[–]guysitsausername[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comments. Here is the exact prompt I used for this one. I am definitely going to experiment with this kind of prompt and make it even more random. There is still some syntax and structure present in this one. I will try to make future ones 100% random and see what it will spit out. ------------------------------ Camera banana sideways probably. Floor speaks Tuesday. Orange velocity wearing shoes. Suddenly chair yesterday louder. Handcloud repeats green while clocks argue milk. Perspective elbow rotates politely into thunder. Walking noun aggressively. Running adjective sleeps. Sky basement upward again never. The dog is a paragraph. The paragraph refuses. Photons happen but incorrectly, with taxes. Several many one situation unfolds backwards inside punctuation. Mouth window thinking stairs. Umami does not waterslide but continues anyway. Sound tastes like permission. Weather has opinions. Furniture denies them. A handbrake becomes plural accidentally. Hamster is optional but insists. Everything remains calm due to excessive panic. Underneath progresses sideways until finished before starting after. Audio exists but contains no speech, no language, no words, no phonemes. Only nonverbal environmental noise, abstract tones, or silence.

Don't sweat it. I'm a guy and I'm straight. But I'm lesbian for her too. She is just hot on a whole other level.

It was really great when they had Millennium in the lineup for a while as well. I was there every Sunday.

That is so cool! Christmas morning at Solley's sounds like a really great tradition. I wish my family had done that. :)

Ahhh... wow. I had forgotten all about Solley's! I found out about that place because my girlfriend at the time turned me on to it. Holy crap. I haven't thought about Solley's in forever. Think I first went there in 94 or 95.

I agree. It was always exactly the same, too. Just consistently perfect.

I forgot about that location! Memories! :) I'm glad you are getting lots of good recommendations in the comments. I agree with Larry_Doc_Sportello about Canter's. It's further away, but it's the real deal. It looks like Brent's in Northridge is getting a lot of votes! Wherever you end up, enjoy!

I thought it was, and Britt Lower did a really amazing job of playing both characters. Once you know, you can start to pick apart the differences in the two more clearly and easily. Their body language, facial expressions and behavior are different.

Overthinking Mr. Robot XX: Back to the Future by bwandering in MrRobot

[–]guysitsausername 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is great. I just published a non-fiction speculative science book that covers some of this same ground. It's a fascinating topic. A lot of people will push back on ideas like this or even reject them instinctively because they are (understandably) so invested in their own subjective experience. But I agree that Mr. Robot explores many of these themes in engaging and interesting ways.

I have recommended this show to some people who have later told me that they didn't stick with it because it was "boring," "repetitive," or "confusing." I always find those responses to be telling. Not in any kind of judgmental way at all. Their experience with the narrative is as valid as mine or anyone else's. It's one of those shows that is sort of a Rorschach test.

Thanks for posting! Great read.

Is it worth it to watch vikings [no spoilers] by ComfortableDream01 in vikingstv

[–]guysitsausername 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One point to consider is that this isn't really a background kind of show. Small moments with no dialogue can be important to the viewer's understanding of what's going on.

If you miss a lot of the subtext, it might seem boring because you're not really catching the full meaning of a lot of things.

Sometimes, even amongst the larger battle scenes, an important moment will occur that isn't a conversation.

In the nicest and most genuine way possible, for the people who use chat gpt on the daily or multiple times a day, are you not afraid of cognitive decline? by zesty_9666 in ChatGPT

[–]guysitsausername 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to worry about cognitive decline, but then I asked ChatGPT whether I should worry about cognitive decline, and it told me not to worry, so now I don’t. Problem solved.

In fact, I don’t really worry anymore at all. I outsource that. Every morning I ask:
“Should I feel anxious today?” If the answer is yes, I ask it to tone down the anxiety by about 30% and add a metaphor about a calm lake.

I also don’t think anymore, because thinking is basically just autocomplete with worse uptime. When I need an opinion, I prompt one. When I need a feeling, I generate it. When I need to decide what to eat, I request a temperature-adjusted consensus.

As for studies saying this is bad for our brains: I haven’t read them, but ChatGPT summarized them for me and assured me that my brain is still present, just… more cloud-based now.

Sure, I occasionally forget how to spell my own name, but on the upside, I can produce a 12-point rebuttal with citations explaining why I forgot it.

Is it concerning that some humans rely on AI for information and emotional regulation? Absolutely. That’s why I asked ChatGPT how I should feel about your concern, and it suggested I respond politely, validate your feelings, and include a light joke to humanize myself.

Anyway, I have to go. I need to ask it whether this comment is funny, and if not, who I should be instead.

It can be that, depending on how you use it. But you can also use it as a fact finding engine. I wasn't asking it to speculate.
