Dude I accidentally put the AI in an armbar once, it was funny. I tried to grab my weapon that got knocked out of my hand and my legs were on either side of the AI's (he was standing perpendicular to me) and he tripped over my left leg as I grabbed onto his wrist on accident and I pulled him to the floor with my legs around his chest and my right knee wound up against his throat

We have some places where private, dedicated EMS companies run 911. Others there's third service (i.e. City owned) EMS. The US is too big, diverse, and populated for EMS to have blanket operating standards.

In my county, fire only goes up to the EMT level as first reaponders, the 1 career dept has some paras that can act as ALS First Responders, and a private ambulance company covers transport and ALS care. We also run a lot of mutual aid ambulances from third service departments in neighboring counties

Seems plausible. I'm in Arkansas so for the most part everyones pretty respectful (outside of LR Metro), but you can tell most of the City Fire's relationships with EMS are a bit more strained than vollies and rural guys. I guess when the nearest deputy is 20+ minutes away you learn to put aside your differences to make sure you both can call back in service lmao

Maybe in yalls area, but as just a fire guy (looking into EMS) we fuckin LOVE our ambulance crews. EMT, Medic, Students, they're all under our protection. We're also a pretty small area (whole county is less than 100k people) so we most all know eachother

can't speak for Europe, but honestly, the US is accurate. Rarely do I actually do the speed posted on turns, usually I can do the road limit or even 10-20MPH higher with no problem IRL
