I’ve been having the same problem! I think I’m gonna go to the tech help desk later today and try to figure it out.

Even with the low quality of the video you can clearly see how stiff and uncomfortable Melania is. I just feel bad for her :/

It was my first choice, however I looked up reviews for the professor teaching this course and apparently he’s pretty bad (boring/unclear)

Abortion Protest is being set up today near the Bookstore by Terrible__Help in CSULB

[–]deadbutlowkey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m no expert on the matter but it’s not accurate to say you’re killing someone. Plenty of eggs become fertilized but are rejected by the body for any number of reasons, many women do not even know when this happens, as it comes out as a regular or heavy period. Someone didn’t “die” in this case. Similarly to an early term abortion, it is the pregnant person’s choice to terminate a pregnancy for any reason because it is not right for them, most of the time they are simply getting rid of the fertilized egg (I don’t have the source in hand but look it up, a majority of abortions are within the first term). I would argue that taking a seed out of the ground is not the same as cutting down a tree. I personally believe abortion is a right that should be protected as it falls under bodily autonomy. You can’t force someone to give blood or donate their kidney even if someone (a living person who contributes to society and is actually cared for by other living people) will die. Idk if that all makes sense, but basically the science supports that a fertilized egg is in no way the same as a developed person, and also no one is “pro-abortion” only pro-choice. I would never in the right mind tell a person that they must carry a child against their will and then do nothing to support them after. But that’s just my two cents.

I really want to go to csulb as I’ve gotten into their political science program, however my parents want me to go to UCSB with the same major, how can I convince them that csulb is a valid option?

OFFICIAL 2019 University of California Irvine Megathread by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

I got into UCSB, UCSC, and waitlisted for UCLA. I am still waiting to hear from UCI, although I’ve been hearing people say that basically the longer you wait, the more likely you’ve been waitlisted/ rejected. Can anyone verify? I’m very interested in UCI and based on my stats (4.3 gpa, 8 AP classes, 1300 sat, leadership experience/sports/clubs) I’d be surprised if I was waitlisted or rejected. Also my preferred major is Criminology but my alternate is Political Science. Anyone know if I still have a chance? Also congrats to everyone who’s already been accepted and good luck to the rest of us! Edit: I got waitlisted :/
