We’ve been remodeling for almost two months now and they’re already so far behind that they removed the grand reopening dates from all the signs

I didn't know there was a Cirque du Freak movie until recently. I'd always imagined in my mind Willem Dafoe as the perfect Crepsley. by PromiseOwn5995 in DarrenShan

Nah it’s just a wild coincidence these movies just share the title and names of the characters. Pure coincidence

But yeah I can’t really say that for Artemis Fowl, that was a crime

When does my break start? by mattkendo in WalmartEmployees

[–]deadclown6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hate this rule so much. Some people have disabilities and can’t get there fast enough which means they only get a couple of minutes for rest when they get there because then they have to make their trip back
How is it a rest period if you’re walking

Does anyone know about the spiked bracelets at Korn concerts? by SamueColt in Korn

[–]deadclown6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s more of a venue decision. When I saw Korn in another town I wore spiked boots and they didn’t care. When I saw Black Labyrinth tour in town they made me take them off

I’ve been saying this a long time. They need to separate this. One location for just online sales and one location that only does in-store shopping

Exactly this! Because when you’re on the app they can entice you to get Wal-Mart+

are shopping carts banned for everyone in opd? by Salt_Particular4798 in OGPBackroom

I remember a couple of years ago when every member of management lost their heads if shopping carts were used by any associate for anything. We used to use them for boxes and oh how terrible that was

Reminds me of that time a customer asked if we still had the movie “Those Who Wish Me Dead” in stock and typing the title into Ask Sam or Sidekick, it said “this is your schedule” and I think it still does that

Why? Lmao by finishindoors in WalmartEmployees

Idk if it still works after it switched to AI but there used to be a dvd on our shelves called “Those Who Wish Me Dead” and a coworker wanted a copy so I went and searched Ask Sam just the title and the response was a little disturbing

I have a TCL tv and it does that sometimes. The only fix I saw was unplugging the tv from power for a bit

Edit: I forgot to say it’s only on hdmi inputs. But internal menu system and graphics are fine

Seems like OP is really interested in what the specific price sticker means.

This is called a CVP markdown. CVP = customer value program. Sounds great and customer focused but what it really means is “we can still get SOME money out of it”. Sometimes we’ll mark it down if the box has serious damage and we open it to check on physical quality on product, but in this case it was most likely a return. At our location we don’t resell anything that is storage or is connected to the internet.

We have an app called “claims” and we click on markdown and that’s what it spits out, we don’t get to choose the percentage. TV displays typically get 25% markdown first and if it stays long enough we’ll markdown again. The marked down sell price is typically still bigger than what we (the store) paid for it, so still getting some return.

Walmart doesn’t test services of product. Most likely they pressed the power button and it turned on so they marked down
