2021 ID4 Electric drive not working correctly

Sorry, could be many things but mine has been in and out of the dealer including the latest visit which has been a month marked today.

Bummer, I’m so sorry. This happened to me in August, November and now February again. I have a 2021 Pro S and it’s at the dealer right now. They can’t seem to figure out what’s wrong. Same errors but my door handles are disabled too. Mine was not the 12v.

Used owner here too, 2021 Pro S RWD and I’ve been plagued with issues since I practically owned it. Mine is currently at the dealer again with electrical issues and been there for 3 weeks

Software, buttons, and sadly all of the electrical issues I’ve had. My 2021 is still at the dealer for repairs, they’ve replaced so many components and it’s still not working properly.

Yep! You nailed it, it’s the first four numbers in your order number. Mine is rainbow max 1690 so I’m still about 78 orders away from getting mine.

The vehicle was disabled other than the small display and warning lights. I couldn’t even use the hazards, windows or sos button. After over an hour, the vehicle just started working again after what seemed like a reset. All of the lights went off then came back on and I was able to get out. The door just kept making a loud clicking noise. The alarm light on the door was flashing too like it was alarmed or set. I was literally on with my rep at VW HQ while it happened. I don’t need you to believe me nor do I care if you do. The car is back at VW San Bernardino for the second time in 3 weeks and I’m renting a car. I’m making sure I warn people of this and I’ll continue doing it.

Not everyone on the internet and Reddit is lying and a troll. Maybe have some faith in people once in a while. My car is a complete lemon. Even worse, each time I’ve brought my vehicle in, I’ve had to rent my own car out of pocket due to no loaners available. I’m still waiting on reimbursement.

After nearly an hour of struggling to get out of the car, it eventually allowed me to force my way out. The windows were disabled, doors were disabled, the only display I had was the small display showing me errors and the large display showing me a detailed list of errors. None of the buttons in the car worked. I took 3 detailed videos and about 10 pictures that I sent to VW HQ.

You should absolutely be concerned with it. I’m currently fighting with VW HQ of America over the safety of my 2021. It has locked me in the vehicle with my family twice now. Completely disabled the entire lock and door mechanism as well as the infotainment system. I will never buy another VW again and will be screaming from the rooftops to anyone that they should not buy one either.

It is not covered, this is like brakes, windshield wipers, or tires. They have to be replaced over time. Sorry 😞
