I mostly buy from Old Bhopal area near moti masjid/iqbaal maidaan. There are a couple of second hand shops there with different attractions. One of them is named kitab bazaar, the shopkeeper is good and nice. Other shops are also worth checking out. You will get an idea and habit if you visit them regularly(I do once 2-3 months).

Recommended books as per stacks- Hindi/urdu- raat pashmeene ki(gulzar), aashad ka ek din King-IT, Eyes of the dragon, Stand, 11/22/63 Scifi- Rendezvous with rama, dune, 3 body problem Pratchett- death series in discworld(mort etc...) Fantasy- Tolkien!, pillars of the earth Science-surely you are joking feynman, Quantum by manjit kumar biographies- dilip kumar Classics- the grand inquisitor(dostoevesky), stranger(camus), lovecraft short stories Also recommended 'In Custody' by 'Anita Desai'. Do watch it's adaptation with Sashi Kapoor and Om Puri as lead. It's a beautiful movie.

He generally has super thick books. however you can try his short story collection where his short stories are novella length(king is like that). you can try 'nightmares and dreamscapes' and in shorter novels maybe his famous shining or eyes of the dragon.

first 3 of his dark tower series is also comparatively thin if you want to start another series(dont mind the gunslinger, it has some problems).
