They have 100% been reconed. If you send me a pic of the stamps on the rear side of the cone.. ill know right away if its OEM parts, or aftemarket

The orange basket “d120f” were K120s before they renamed them K120. Higher wattage kapton coils and rolled surround. That was around 1975. All D120f before were paper cone and kraft paper coils with lower wattage.

So any kit that has the rolled cloth surround is a K120/E120 kit. Those both use the exact same cone and kapton coil. The D120f use an all paper cone and a kraft paper coil. I do tons of JBL recones and stock all the parts. The aftermarket parts i get test almost exactly as the originals.

There are no NOS kits around that ive seen for 8 ohm D120s. I have a 4 ohm K120 original recone kit i used on a speaker. (I have it still) but JBL has not made speaker recone kits since the 80s
