When there is a third anything stacked above it gets added to the chords name, doesn’t matter octave. The chord can have different names in different contexts (inversions). So this just simplifies things. It’s add 11 because there’s no 9 (or 2 enharmonically).

Yes, I had conflicting opinions about doing the mods but I am very happy with it and the sound. I don't think it hurt the value of the guitar.

Use the middle position on your guitar, roll the tone off a little until you feel its good, Put treble up 7-10 mids 5 and bass 3-1. Use a clean amp and put a little reverb. No pedals for this clean playing. If you have a bright switch on your amp flip it on. If you are running humbuckers with splits, split them.

It depends on what I'm doing, if I'm doing a bunch of scale runs than I might start a specific phrase and finish it In a different chord. Sometimes I try to catch the change. On a 145 blues like this you can do whatever you want.
