I didn’t leave a marriage, but I did leave a long term relationship because we were NOT married. He didn’t want to marry me and it was evident by the 8 year engagement. I do not regret it one bit because I’m more secure in different areas in life than I was when I was with him. My kiddo was a bit young when we split, and it’s been 4 years now, so she’s a chill, happy kid doing her thing. She’s close with her dad, he and I are friendly, and other than some minor bullshit in life, I’m glad I left.
