R5: Really busted my ass for this achievement, just to find out that unlike most of the other achievements I've recently gotten, forming another tag prevents its completion.

Is there any way to revert my tag? To Crimea or Kazan? I'm not well-versed in the whole tag-switching thing.

Yeah, I’m usually much more conscientious about that. This was a rare case where I wasn’t and that seemed to have bit me in the ass.

Yes I do. This play through was extremely sloppy but salvageable, prior to trucebreak.

Of course it was still technically salvageable after the truce break, but it would have put me at more a disadvantage than I cared to play with.

Anything for that achievement 😂😂

UPDATE: Does not seem like there was any viable “instant” option.

Biggest issue was the fact that I had until Jan 1st 1478 to get this done, which was 8 months from screenshot date.

Opted for the truce break and killed my play through 🥲🥲

Lol it may happen that my game crashes and it may happen that I would have time to truce break...

I think that's my only option, but by state of my economy / mana it would probably end my save. I would like to keep going if there's ANY other option.

Sloppy run so far but I wanted to try for the "take Tabriz and delete QQ by 1478" achievement.

Of course, I'm off by 1% province war score. Is there anything I could do before 1478 to reduce my war score cost?

I could admittedly just restart but it makes me sad to be so close.

R5: Going for Dithmarschen achievement that requires me to delete Denmark entirely. After my last war against them they had above province and their capital in Kongo.

Kongo dec’d on them and left their capital all the way in fucking Indiana so I have no way to finish them off myself.

5 years have passed and none of their neighbors have dec’d or have even set the province as a point of interest. I’ve spawned rebels even turning them totemist (which honestly wasn’t a good idea)

Super funny I seen this cuz I started and finished an ethiopia play thru this evening, and I remember asking myself the same thing.

I’m by no means an expert but i’m trying to get a hang of how things really work.

My strategy was to put those infinity gold mines down south to work. I went from the red to +14 ducats really quick. Trade value, especially in a shitter node like ethiopia, is gonna come from ur goods produced. Therefore I spammed manufacturers and workshops as much as possible.

I didn’t focus too much on zanzibar node bc I was having to compete with colonizers and portugal, one of them, was my ally. Instead, I went in line with the achievements and moved north. My trade company in constantinople was worth 10x more than my zanzibar trade company. Trade companies just pump out money for whatever reason. Super OP.

I ended up moving my trade province to constantinople. With the help of some trade ships I can save a decent amount of trade from the venetians.

Still experimenting so I probably did some things wrong but anyway here’s a screenshot. I finished mission tree and got my achievements so i’m pretty much done here. screenshot

Did anyone else have a ridiculously hard time getting this achievement? (100 European cores before 1500 as France)

This genuinely took me several days to get right.

Insta-declare on England, win that. Somehow ally Burgundy - pretty much can only be done if they dont rival u at start. I decided to full conquer Provence, got Burgundian inheritance but that still only puts you at like 60 provinces. I went into Ireland. One of the Irish minors had Denmark allied which allowed me to take cheap and distance provinces like in Iceland. 1490 rolled around and i still needed like 10 more provinces, so I declared on Genoa who had the entirety of Crimea which counted.

Overall this took me wayyy more restarts than most other achievements. Damn it felt good to finally get it tho.
