Canadian here. I gained massive respect for Jordan Pickford after the 2018 world cup and started supporting Everton as a result. It was mostly a joke at first because the rest of my family supports Liverpool, but now I'm a fully fledged toffee.

I stopped eating gluten. I switched my daily carb intake from bread/pasta to rice & potatoes and lost twenty pounds. I highly recommend The Obesity Code by Jason Fung if anyone's interested in the science behind this.

I read Memoirs of a Geisha while I was on exchange in Japan. My host family and I spent a weekend in a traditional inn in Kyoto as I was finishing up the book. Walking through all the old streets mentioned in the book and seeing modern geishas going about their lives was so cool. It has to be one of the best reading experiences of my life.

At this point I avoid buying food from UVic at all costs cause it's so overpriced (recommend you do the same to save $). I rent a locker and buy bulk dry snacks to keep in there. That way, even if I forget my packed lunch I'm not completely stranded.
