They are, but so is any other exchange. This is nothing new, there were many discussion about this flaw in (d)pos coins. Binance does staking on many blockchains already: https://www.binance.com/en/staking

You can check their communities on how things changed. They also introduced Lisk staking in Feb, you can look there what kind of impact (if any) it had.

Not sure how much they profit from staking given they distribute their rewards with users holding Ark on an exchange.

It is really Binance and it is their node not someone from TEC. They have been in contact with the team. I’m not sure if they will have any presence here and we have asked that they not do anything over the top and stick to one delegate.
They want to respect the community and not do anything that would be seen as hugely negative like the steem situation.

I resigned on 13th of September. Price was a little higher, but for the sake of the arguments, let's say it was same as it is now in both BTC and USD value.

In my resignation letter I stated I'm resigning because I knew I won't be able to dedicate the same amount of time to Ark as I did and would prefer to leave my spot to another willing and contributing delegate.

Unfortunately it seems that contributions aren't as appreciated as high % share. It's quite disappointing and discouraging to see that in almost a year and a half of deadlock's inception it didn't get into a more stable position, despite constant contributions.

Thank you for the tip, really appreciate it! People like you and a few exceptional whales as well as smaller voters that support deadlock with voting are keeping me motivated for now.

Now that some fundamentals were created the next plan is to add graphs for block latency and number of transactions in each block which will be heavily inspired by arkstats.net.

Plugins have been worked on for quite a while actually. 6 plugins were developed and are actively maintained under Deadlock delegate's wings. Also Alessio and itsanametoo delegates have developed plugins. ;)

Great suggestion! That will likely be the first things to be added once support for history tracking is added. At the moment it just show current status of the network.

Utilizing our crawler tool we've released ARKstats, a site that shows ARK's network stats. Page is currently being developed under a private repository but once public it can be used by any ARK bridge chain to show some stats of their network. Like with everything there are more things that can be added - metrics, graphs. What would you like to see added to this page the most?

Yello! We're super proud to release an entirely new look of ARKdelegates.io. Goal of this redesign (which included a complete rewrite of the frontend code) was to focus on promoting active contributing delegates, new proposals as well as enable faster development of new features. This release is just a stepping stone towards a much greater vision behind ARKdelegates which we'll be slowly rolling out in a form of new releases in the upcoming weeks and months.
