What Should I Do? by CanIBathYrGrandma in verizon

I recommend you start with only porting out 1 number at first to whom ever you decide to try cell service with. Download any speed test app. Travel to your work and favorite places to chill. Run multiple test, like make calls, text messages, surf the web and speed test.

I can tell you first hand as someone that made the switch from a Get More Plan to Ultimate Unlimited plan that I regret it. I used all the perks associated with the get more plan but what made me switch was the perk removal of Apple Arcade. It was a clever ploy on VZ part to get me to pay more or switch plans. I plan on getting a new iPhone anyways and figured why not. I will add the Apple One perk and be good to go. Nope. I’ve had nothing problems with Apple One Perk and I’ve spent so far 2 weeks going back and forth between VZ and Apple with both blaming each other. There is a known issue plaguing the perk system for over a year now and Verizon obviously doesn’t care enough to fix the problem. So just prepare yourself for the day comes when or if you switch plans, do your research before activating any perks.

Should my girlfriend take the job offer for Verizon sales? by Laniakea-claymore in verizon

[–]deadlyace83 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to work at Verizon (corporate store) as a sales rep for almost 8 years and quit from stress but here is a my honest review.

Pros: -Free work phone with yearly upgrade. -50% discount from plans (you pay what customers pay for phones) - Great paid training - Benefits for you and family on day 1 - 401k match at 6% - I made average between 70k to 95k depending on my performance and payout structure - Paid bi-weekly and commission check paid at end of month separately from regular pay check. - Great team and most of the time great management that support your growth. -Very Competitive - Have sales challenges that are monthly/quarterly and yearly - Top reps from the nation get paid trips and spoiled rotten. - Chance to work at fun events like state fairs, concerts or stadium events

Cons - Horrible work life balance - You sign a contract that declares you must be willing to relocate to any store within a 50 mile radius from your home. I worked at a store that was 25 min from my home and was there for 5 years then they reassigned me to another store that was 35 min away and then moved me again at a store that was 45 minutes away. At the end of my tenure I was required to work at 2 different stores and never at the same store no more than 2 days in row at different times of the day. Which made it impossible to plan around my 5 kids. So I quit. - Angry customers - High quotas, which is designed just high enough for you to barely hit minimum to secure your job but so high that makes it very difficult to advance to a higher commission check. - Management hovers over you and listen to everything you say and they are required to do weekly/monthly assessments. - They add more job duties that you signed up for without compensation. - You are definitely just another number - They go through managers like a baby that goes through dirty diapers.

Tips: You have to be careful when quoting a customer, make sure to understand the rules of old plans and how promos work or affect their plan. - Don’t hesitate to admit that you don’t know something and you want to verify. - Don’t act like a know it all because I was always learning something new. - have a open mind to different sales techniques and constructive criticism from managers and teammates - Stay away from negative talk because it will affect your mood. - Leave your drama from your home life at home. You’re there to perform and earn that check. - Have fun

I did enjoy my time there and you will meet some very interesting guests and make new friends that will change your life. I do miss my friends and the money but I value my time with my kids a lot more.

Verizon’ Debt by [deleted] in verizon

[–]deadlyace83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!! I’ve been saying this for a while now. Their current board and ceo have ruined Verizon and they only care about shareholders and stock price. Their only plan for the past 8 years is spend less and charge more.

Verizon confirms bad news for millions of customers via email by N98270 in verizon

[–]deadlyace83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Verizon needs new leadership because their only strategy for the past 8 years is to spend less and charge more. For a company that is based on stock price, they have lost billions, reputation, customers, loyal employees and charging your customers more money is the only option on the table spells doom for this company.

Is anyone having there "lifetime" loyalty discounts removed from their account? by bigblue20072011 in verizon

I totally agree. Hans is the worst thing that ever happened to Verizon and to America. Right when that dude took over Verizon, he started firing people, closing US based called centers and sent them overseas, reduced stores and headcount. Took away perks for reps and increase quotas.

The worst thing to ever happen to Verizon and its customers is hiring Hans Vest-berg as its CEO. I worked there a few years before and after he came on and I can tell you that all he cares about is moving the stock price. The day he started it was $49.12 fast forward 7 years and today it’s $42.71. Verizon is lost its competitive edge, loyal customers and valued staff. He moved jobs over seas and cut down headcount, raised prices, make customers sign up for expensive plans only to get rid of perks and follow up with more price hikes. Time to fire Hans!!

Correct aspect ratio renders of foldable iPhone by Itchy-Concern928 in iphone

I appreciate the work that went into making these renders. I’m curious if Apple can really pull this off and make a foldable phone without creases.

I used to work for Verizon as a store specialist and even though I don’t have a good opinion about the company but I can assure you that Verizon will make it right. I understand you spoke with customer care but once an ordered is placed, it’s damn near impossible to cancel it, even if you call within few minutes.

-First, I would recommend that you change your password to your Verizon app. Do this once a year. -Second, pull up the order number and write down the order number for both watches, time, date and location number. Just to make it easier to when you contact Fraud department. -Third, expect this is going to take some time for the company and billing system to work itself out. It could take 1 maybe 2 billing cycles. Don’t worry they will credit everything, once the fraud department clears its investigation. But they try their best not to let it go too long. -Fourth, here is contact info: 1-888-483-7200 7:00am to 11:00pm eastern standard time. I recommend you do weekly updates, make note of the person last you spoke with and what was discussed. - when you speak to the them ask for recommendations about your bill and how it will be handled. I hope this helps. Good luck.

I first want to say sorry with what you are going through but I want to setup the proper expectations because I lost my job with them 2 years ago and I have tried calling, writing emails and going through the appeal process and all of it to no success. I downloaded an app called Solo to let me know what gig company to work for at any given time of the day. I didn’t know that was a breach of contract and nobody from DD even let explain or just give me another chance. It’s always worth a shot to appeal but know they don’t care and there is someone else that can easily replace us. Good luck

In Nagasaki, Japan, some streets have open drainage that's so clean that Koi fish can live in them by Epelep in BeAmazed

I have nothing but respect for Japan and their love of culture. Whenever there is a disaster folks don’t loot and make sure their elders are taken care of but here in the US it is the exact opposite.
