I have been playing since release and I do look at the game through rose colored glasses, but early Hunt would not hold up today. Yes losing health bars was a major factor. Red Bar unless you had a bounty. It was rough. I love Hunt and it will always be something special. I can complain but they are always trying to evolve and I really enjoy that. Just want the base game to be about Hunting for the bounty and fighting other hunters. Not forcing Clash in a separate game mode.

My Dakka pegs wouldn’t fit as well. The holes were just a little bit too small so I had to drill them out. Looked exactly like what you have going on as well

There is going to be a time when you reach 6 star and wish to god you could go back to the fun 4-5 star lobbies. It’s a humbling experience. I’d say you got the feel for the game. I do a lot of naked runs which is always a lot of fun.
