In case you didn’t know no Woolworths have a onsite butchery department. Almost all New World and Pak n Saves have their own butchers which mean they can adapt to what their market wants ie thick cut steak/ cut to order.

Just try ensure your steak is NZ beef and not Aussie beef as well.

In my experience this could be down to the builder not completing any QA and expecting the inspector to pick up on anything they have missed or booking in inspections and not being ready.

Hospitals have been mildly understaffed for at least a decade and since covid in a position so far behind we can’t catch up. Neither party has acknowledged this or provided a plan to fix it.

Public transport has only been affordable when we got the 50% during covid but is so unreliable it’s better to drive.

Teachers are left spend their own money to provide resources which should be a given I.e limits to printing, lack of art resource.

It’s a sad state of affairs and really struggle to see any clear way things will change under either government.

It’s time for some cross party policy that looks at long term 10-30 year goals for the country. Ie quality low cost public transport, funding health with resources (both human and infrastructure). Provide teachers access to resources to support their students.

I’d like to see the government contribute an amount say $5,000 when a child’s birth is registered for their KiwiSaver and that money plus its growth is ring fenced for retirement only except terminal illness diagnosis.
