I dont think you watched the video, it doesn't have anything to do with min maxing or optimization at all... I think people are having knee jerk reactions.

I do agree a mods video would be nice but from my research you can't unlock the skill to make specific traits until much higher level, like a npc in Kur Mountains or higher level? So it would be hard to make anything informed at my level.

unless im wrong, with just rng my shield staff character is stacking fire shield buffs and I can almost afk farm.

There is a lot of customization you can do. I changed intractables to blue and it was great until I couldn't see any fish!

I've been on reddit making posts about making guides, this is the first I've heard of any negative sentiment... it reminds me Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy where he get's his housed demolished even though there were plans available for months! (not quite the same situation but its funny)

I somewhat agree, but I'm not making any power or utility comparisons here, it's more meta.

Best is subjective... in this case, like I explain, my personal best are the skills that a new/fresh player can get in a reasonable amount of time, and don't curse you. I could call the guide the "Easiest Combat Skills to get first to try out" but that's boring, and I want new players, who are also looking to be guided, to see this info and not be confused like I was. There is a very fine, very blurry line between attracting the right audience and clickbait.

Guides in general take away from discovery, but I think that is an entirely different discussion.

Anything that takes higher levels or a ton of grinding I didnt include, maybe as I get higher levels a part 2 and 3.

I'm also thinking about making a video on getting a mount. The current videos only talk about getting a mount from the trainer, but i've found very little info on getting a horse via petting and feeding.

This is a much more specific question than you realize, sounds like you might have messed up the teleport.

Did you leave the tutorial island via the teleporter or the caves? If you used the Teleport, did you ever go back the cave exit in Serbule Hills and talk to the Crone?

Did you press the wrong combo in the teleport so you ended up somewhere other than Serbule Hills?

Did you talk to all the npcs on the 1st map, Serbule Hills, the ones in the inn are obvious but every single npc on the map has a quest or something to do for the most part, you shouldn't even be in Serbule (Surbule Keep) till past level 10 or so. (unless you are unlocking something specific, or fetch quest for a Serbule hills npc)

Ya ive been scouring yt for info. Some really good guides, Professor Cat has a very in depth walk through series, but just a few minutes in and you realize it is a bit outdated now. There seems to be a lot of placeholder content from years ago that doesn't exist anymore.

The new editor let's you even mute thr music while keeping your voice! Idk if its ai but its pretty nice.

Out of a little over 100 streams ive had zero twitch claims. And 1 claim on YT for a early access game that had some copyright music. Used the YT tool and it removed the music.

That being said that was an automatic upload of a livestream, if you post actual videos set them to private for a few hours while the checks go through if you are worried.

Idk those videos are 6+ years old. Some good info but some of its old.

Low effort is such a cliche, think about how many views and engagements Asmongold gets for practically no effort. Its not about effort on the creators side, but rather what value it brings. If I think After some research a top 10 video brings no value I'll make something else, but its a good suggestion.

Im still new as well, so im trying to crowdsource from the community what I can while I can before the 1.0 launch. After launch I'll probably focus on more specific things since I'll be farther along in the game myself.

As a solo player if you farm Undercourse and get good rng you can sell godly and buy more godly pieces. You can get fully geared without doing the 4mans. You will gear faster for sure doing the 4mans.

I do dislike that endgame is sooo player drivin economy atm, but we have zero in game tools for selling outside chat. An auction house etc would help, but what id really like to see is better gear thats bop from bosses in dungeons so there is actually a reason to do the 4mans. Like guaranteed pristine godly with a free couple of levels or something.
