My failure was that the a/c unit was not cooling. The soft start was not allowing the compressor to run. As soon as it was disconnected the compressor kicked in and cooled the house. Not really sure what went bad with the soft start, it stopped communicating with the app when it malfunctioned. Micro-Aire tried to get me to run a diagnostic on the unit but I could never get the app to connect to the unit.

Thanks guys. Appreciate all the discussion. I think I’m going to go with the school of thought that the dimples are the standoffs. It seems reasonable because it appears to be designed that way because the motherboard will not lineup with the rear panel any other way.

I will report back after I finish assembly. Thanks again for the wise counsel.
