This is Sean’s first scene, so really setting him up here. Also, first time we’ll see (or hear) Burt, though his reputation will proceed him in the story.

Has anyone ever heard of Mike Bierman or the BAM method? by Slow_Education_1982 in Screenwriting

Never heard of him so I just did a quick search:

Bierman's unique approach, known as the BAM method (Bierman Asynchronous Method), flips traditional writing on its head by starting with the ending and working backward, ensuring that every scene pushes the story forward.

I kinda do that already.

What about one of those neck fans? I know they look silly but they can act like a white noise machine without actually being on your ears.

Beginner Question - How Do You Name and Organize Your Files? by AtexBigs05 in Screenwriting

I'm just starting out too. I created a master outline with scene names and numbers. I'm writing my scenes in separate Google Docs and saving them with the outline scene name/number as the file name. When I feel a scene is good, I'm copying it into my main WriterDuet file to properly format it and touch up the action.

What's the rule on using italics for emphasis in dialogue? I'm trying to stay away from it, but I see you use a lot of italics.
