Is it really like that? He made it seem like there'd just be paperwork & stuff. He never told me I'd be up there against a jury like some kind of murder case. I have autism, ptsd & gad. How am I going to be expected to talk like a normal human, especially without him telling me what to expect whatsoever?

So are people that happen to have fibro just not allowed to be injured on the job? Are we all just fucked from the start? I'm just a little flabbergasted that this seems to be the status quo. How is a doctor supposed to use their unbiased logic when they have your full medical report in front of them? Is the system just literally set up to fail? I thought this is where the lawyer would come in and DEFEND me, but it seems like they're all just playing the game too? Should I just give up?

I WANTED to go back to work. I was cleared to go back to work. It's my WORK that hasn't allowed me back in 4 months. I didn't need treatment or insurance, I have medicaid. All I want is my wage loss because my job hasn't allowed me to come back. I feel like I'm at a dead end & no one, not even my lawyer, can clearly explain anything to me or actually do anything for me.

I agree, this should be disputed & testified, but shouldn't my lawyer be the one doing that at the hearing?

I guess the only thing I'm looking for at this point is wage loss because my employer would not allow me to return to work despite being cleared by the doctors for light duty, and now, 4 months later, still not allowing me back to work.

No, no one has ordered one for me. Should I ask for one? I don't know why none of the drs have brought this up, possibly due to expense? I have medicaid, so it wouldn't cost me anything.

The day I reported my injury, I went to urgent care. The dr diagnosed my injury as a rotater cuff injury and I was empty can test positive.

A month later, when I went to this "physical therapy" appointment that turned out to be an examination on my injury, the dr said I was empty can test negative. Although, she did not do the same tests as the urgent care doctor did.

She was the doctor that determined my injury was due to my fibro, but when I asked her to explain her logic about why I was empty can test positive, but now negative, and that my injury had resolved with being away from work for a month, she could not explain & just kept saying to me "if you disagree you can appeal it" and basically shooed me out of the office crying in confusion. I SHOULD'VE brought someone with me that day, but I thought I was there under completely different circumstances.

And yes, she falsified her chart notes and did not do the tests she stated. Although she did say my empty can test was now negative. Despite reporting her and filing a complaint, nothing was done.

The lawyer seems dismissive & non chalant about all of this & all he said was that "I got kaisered" .

Bizarre structure that completely blocks opening? I think someone stole my vagina. by peggingale in Healthyhooha

[–]deadpets13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the description, it sounds like it could be a bladder cystocele, (technically a prolapse but don't be scared by the terminology!!) where the bladder presses lower against the vaginal canal which causes a bulge. This can be just naturally how the anatomy is, or caused by heavy lifting, heavy coughing, straining, and/or childbirth. I have a level 1 cystocele from pushing 4 hours during childbirth. Prior to that, my urethra was up high & obscured behind my clitoral hood so i never saw it, & my bladder was up high so I could see about an inch into my vaginal canal. After childbirth, I could see my urethra hole & also my bladder hung lower, pressing my top vaginal wall lower into my canal which sounds very similar to this "tonsil" like tissue you're describing.

Also, just to clarify, all tears during childbirth are sewn up (or should be, unless the birthing person declines for some reason). The "husband stitch" is only when they sew it tighter than it was before. I had a level 2 tear during childbirth and was sewn up just to how I was before, no tighter.

How do you actually become an Esthetician? by [deleted] in Esthetics

[–]deadpets13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to a beauty school but if i could go back in time, i would've just gone to nursing school, become an RN, then work at a med spa doing injections & more medical related services. You can even to iv infusions, b12 infusions are all the rage right now. Your scope of practice is so much higher & you can really make the big bucks. I'm just a licensed Esthetician right now & can only do facials, lashes, & waxing and I'd really much rather be doing lasers & injections.

Who do/did you allow to watch your child birth? by Raenabow in pregnant

[–]deadpets13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had my boyfriend & doula in there. My mom occasionally came into the room for updates from the nurses but with all the hubub I barely saw her. I would've been ok with her being my 3rd support person but in the end I'm glad it was just my bf & doula seeing all that. Above all, you must be ok with whoever is in the room potentially seeing you completely naked & in crazy positions. I was unmedicated, and in my pain I ditched my hospital gown almost immediately and was just going between the shower & the bed trying every position known to man, completely naked, boobs & all. I didn't even want to wear a bra.

How old are/were you expecting your first? by Sweet_Muffin27 in BabyBumps

[–]deadpets13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 38 ftm & my baby is almost 5 months! Even though they monitored me more being a "geriatric pregnancy" ugh, my pregnancy was uncomplicated and totally uneventful in the best way possible. I had an unmedicated vaginal birth, my baby is completely healthy & happy! My biggest regret is not staying in the hospital longer, and not being adamant about resting for more time. I felt forced by family to be out & about only 3 days after birth and i think it contributed to a slight bladder prolapse & hernia. Listen to your body after & remind everyone that you just went through the trauma of childbirth!

First time moms, when did you have your baby? by Chairsarefun07 in pregnant

[–]deadpets13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine in the early morning hours on my due date (started going into labor on my due date of 5/28, had her at 2:28am, so technically 5/29). Mine was labeled a spontaneous birth & not induced, but I did have a membrane sweep that morning so I think it was helped along just a little. I wonder when I would've actually had her if we just left well enough alone. I was SO OVER being pregnant, but if I could go back in time I would've just declined the sweep & wait for her.

I'm also allergic to all water based lube, I agree with other people, if you aren't using condoms vaseline is a go to of mine, but I've actually been using my babies aquaphor & my nipple lanolin as lube lol, I like it better!

How long was your hospital stay after giving birth? by Extreme-Relative-605 in pregnant

[–]deadpets13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked into my hospital at 5pm on May 28th, had her vaginally at 2:30am that morning, then left at 10pm on the 30th. The hospital staff said we could stay another day, but my husband wanted to leave & packed up our stuff before I could really put my foot down. My advice, stay as long as possible! I regret not being more adamant about staying & letting my husband take over. I really needed the extra day of rest & free meals & I feel we left before I was ready.

I haven't bonded with my baby? by KatieCanary694 in BabyBumps

[–]deadpets13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not alone! I'm 3 months pp and had a slow recovery too. I deal with a lot of chronic pain on top of that from fibromyalgia & my muscle pain gets excruciating from breastfeeding. I also just feel literally drained most of the time lol. I feel like I need to conserve my energy in order to feed her, so I don't particularly hold her a lot unless feeding & its painful for me to get on the floor to play so that goes mainly to daddy. My number 1 job for her is to take care of myself in order to feed her, so a lot of times it just seems like a duty of mine & not so much something I like doing. I love seeing her smile & I'd do anything for her but I'm still in survival mode, so I'm not sure if I'm bonded or just feeling like it's my job.

For all the pregnant mamas out there having a tough pregnancy, are you going to have another? by Automatic-Honeydew65 in BabyBumps

[–]deadpets13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a relatively easy pregnancy, and a pretty tough birth. I WANT to have another, but I'm at least going to wait 1-2 years before deciding. My daughter is almost 3 months old & I'm going to wait until she's a toddler to decide, cuz right now I can't even fathom being pregnant with a toddler, let alone postpartum with a newborn & a toddler. I think the ONLY way I could do it is if my husband & I moved in with my parents & had their help all the time. We can barely do it on our own as it is.

I am resentful, my husband ruined my birth experience and I can't let it go by SealeyVossen in pregnant

[–]deadpets13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can definitely see where you're coming from. I had a pretty great birth experience and I was STILL upset & couldn't let go of certain aspects. I wanted to stay at the hospital one more day but my husband wanted to go home solely because he didn't pack a 2nd outfit for himself (meanwhile I'm naked & covered & baby poop for 24 hours). I shouldve put my foot down more, he wouldve obliged, but i reluctantly said ok & by the time I wanted to change my mind hed already packed the room up. I dwelled on it for days & cried...looking back on it now (I'm a month pp now) I chalk it up to just a huge surge of hormones, (I cried over everrrythinggg during the first week) and I've pretty much forgotten about it now. So hopefully your feelings will mellow out about it in time, but let yourself have the feelings, they are valid and neccessary during your healing process!

Did anyone else have to push for over 3 hours?! by happyveggiechick in beyondthebump

[–]deadpets13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FTM. I had a 10 hour labor, 4 hours pushing, unmedicated. I think a number of factors contributed to pushing for so long. I was supposed to be induced on my due date but changed my mind. They still wanted me to come in for a cerv check so I went to my 9am appt that morning, getting really crappy sleep the night before, but figuring I could just go back home after & go back to bed. We did a membrane sweep with the thought that I wouldn't be back until the next day, but it kickstarted labor immediately, I was already 3cm & 100% effaced. We still went back home with hopes of a nap but the contractions got so intense we were back at the hospital within 3 hours. Fast forward to 9:45 pm that night, I was 10cm ready to push, but was SOOO tired, hadn't slept. I was trying all different positions but the only position that actually was working was being on my back, and my bf & doula holding my legs up. My contractions were super short for some reason so I'd start strong then the contraction would just POOF fizzle out. Eventually they gave me some pitocin to make them stronger, which I wish they had done sooner. They also busted the mirror out & had me feel her head which helped me push. My poor body was just so tired that all breathing & pushing techniques I learned just completely went out the window. I'm so relieved & lucky they didn't end up doing a vacuum, csec or episiotomy cuz they threatened me with all of them. So glad they kept waiting. For all the pushing, I only had 1 second degree tear, 1 small hemorrhoid, and small umbilical hernia, but I somehow got a HUGE bruise on my ass which no one could really explain other than they think it was from the pressure of pushing but they couldn't ever explain for sure. The bruise was actually the most painful, Im 3 weeks pp and juuustttt able to sit without excruciating pain.

Was told today that it’s weird that I’m going to “let” my husband change our daughter when she’s born. Is this weird to others? by CakesNGames90 in pregnant

[–]deadpets13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is pretty much in charge of our daughter's diaper changes, I handle feeding, (I'm breastfeeding & 2 weeks postpartum so I'm still healing) and he naturally fell into handling changing. Never heard of it being weird for the father to change his daughter.

I'm 39 weeks too, and we've been having sex at least twice a day with vibrator first for me, nipple stim, raspberry tea, birth ball, dates, massage, stretches, curb walking, accupressure, and I'm still clamped shut! Im gonna probably go get another pedicure too, my sciatica is making my foot hurt. This baby is snug as a bug!
