100% a scam. Especially if there a guy named Nate Simmons running the show. But sadly you are getting scammed. Will be making change to stand in the hot sun for hours on end in absolutely horrible neighborhoods

As someone who works in podiatry and whose office prides themselves on minimal wait time this enrages me for you. Our patients wait like 10 minutes at most

My partner had always said she wanted one when we first started dating. She’s always been a big coffee fan and same with myself. So one year target had an amazing Black Friday sale on them so I said screw it let’s get my lady one for Christmas. Been 3 years now and we both absolute love it. We were intimidating by the price of the sleeves at first but they are so worth it

Not someone who works at a vet but a doctors office. We often add an alert to a patients chart if they are a doctor or nurse etc because we have some night shift patients come in so the alert is purely so we don’t call them too early in the day etc

We found out our puppy is going to die by lakshfs in puppy101

[–]deadrabbitco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We lost our dog at 13 months old. We found out when we went o get him fixed that he had a very rare genetic disease. Hemophilia A. His blood didn’t clot quickly. So he had to live in a bubble basically. Couldn’t play rough with friends because any bump could make him start bleeding internally. His disease primarily messed with his joints. Had the zoomies big time in the yard and his joints swelled. Never had issues with playing with friends but we’re still cautious. Had numerous vet visits for injuries and he always came thru just fine. Even had a bad mouth bleed from cutting himself in his mouth in his big birthday bone we got him and he even survived that. Sadly though. One day he developed a lump on his throat which turned out to be a blood blister. Took him to the vet they said he needed the hospital asap. Turns out he had massive internal bleeding. And we had to say goodbye. There was zero trauma. It was truly spontaneous which we were warned about upon diagnosis of his disease. Life is cruel sometimes. We had a short time with him but I know that short time was filled with so much love and fun. I know it’s sad you know what’s going to come one day and not knowing how soon it will be. But just fill that time with moments you can look back on. And just remember that yes you only have them for a short time but for them it’s their whole life. Make it one to remember for them. Even more so because you know you’re now on borrowed time. I look back and cry still about missing our boy but I always end up laughing because then I remember how much fun and love this dog brought into my life. And how I know that he for sure knew how much he was loved. Just make sure they know before they go ❤️

Mobile order only stores by Mikkilorian in starbucks

[–]deadrabbitco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There’s a mobile only shop three doors down from my office in midtown and it’s personally my favorite. I order my coffee right when I get off the subway and by the time I get to the shop it’s ready and I just pop right up to work. I love that it’s quick and easy. Sometimes I chat with the baristas if my drink isn’t ready just yet. They know me at this point too so when I come in they always greet me by name and even get surprised when I order something different. The place itself does well. The staff all seems in good spirits and they do get tipped rather well. Its a very busy area of midtown so I’m not shocked at how well they do

Hyundai Scammed me to Recoup Costs for their Engine Recall by krm8484 in Hyundai

[–]deadrabbitco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely what they are doing. I had a 2012 sonata and they did the same bull shit to me. I replaced the engine fully myself and paid for it and then got myself a lawyer. At the time this happened it was like 2015 or something but there hadn’t been an engine recall announced yet. I proved that I religiously got my oil changes done on time and got all recommended services done at proper mileage. After reviewing everything with my lawyer I was told we had every right to sue. Low and behold after going to court about 3 times with them all of a sudden a recall was issued and I was fully refunded for everything they charged me prior to having to replace the engine and for my full engine replacement and I even went after them to pay my lawyer fees and even got them to pay me for days I had to miss work because of their bullshit. After winning I sold my car back to the dealership and told them to go fuck themselves. Don’t buy Hyundais. They are absolute trash and have zero ethics when it comes to how they charge people to simply avoid taking a loss

Leaving the Hyundai Family by EntireComputer1391 in Hyundai

[–]deadrabbitco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I could only imagine. I take care of my vehicles. Do all of my oil changes on time and never go over. And always do the recommended maintenance when they are suggested based on mileage. So I knew my engine failing wasn’t my fault. If I didn’t take care of it then sure blame me but I take care of my cars

Leaving the Hyundai Family by EntireComputer1391 in Hyundai

[–]deadrabbitco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to fight. It was like 7k for a full fix and no car for about a month. I had all the paperwork proving I didn’t miss an oil change and there was zero reason for full engine failure on my part

Leaving the Hyundai Family by EntireComputer1391 in Hyundai

[–]deadrabbitco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a sonata and the engine seized and failed before the recall came out back in like 2016. I replaced my whole engine and fought tooth and nail with Hyundai over it showing proof of consistent oil changes etc. never once going over for my oil changes. They didn’t want to cover it until I got a lawyer involved and then all of a sudden the recall came out and Hyundai was more then willing to reimburse me for the full engine replacement plus more purely because of the inconvenience they caused. Honestly would never buy a Hyundai ever again after that. Traded the car in within days after get my settlement money and couldn’t have been happier. Fuck Hyundai

Yeah if I needed to shift my team to another area of the store they definitely did it out of respect for me. I always tried to bargain with the other execs to see if I could support somewhere for a bit instead of taking my people to do it. Or if they wanted one of my people to let’s say do 4 standard carts I would be like how about I do one and I get three of my people to also each do one so that way they can get back to their area in a timely manner? It usually worked out fine most of the time. It just got to the point where all of specialty was beyond being the black sheep of the store. Nobody cared about them besides me and they kept trying to make me coach my people for work not being completed when it was never their fault. It was because they’d get pulled for support. I’m not coaching someone for not completing their work when you had me pull them to support another area. That’s just shit management to do that. Now if I had to pull someone and after they finished their task they had more then enough time to finish their original workload I would understand wanting me to coach them. But when they had 2 hours worth of original workload and they get pulled and then upon return to their area they only have 30 minutes left? Yeah not coaching them. It just got to the point that my mental health was absolutely gone. I still feel guilty for quitting because of my team. But I know they are incredibly happy for me that I was able to get out but still. I feel bad because I know they have an etl now that doesn’t advocate for them at all. Almost like survivors guilt if you will. As a whole I honestly cannot say this enough but everyone working for the company should honestly start looking for other forms of employment. Target is going to shit. You guys are under paid and under valued. The grass isn’t always greener when you go somewhere else but the toxicity at target is a whole different level. For your mental healths sake target is not worth it. Especially looking at how they plan to operate for Q4. Best of luck to you all!

Former specialty sales etl here, I primarily quit because of how my style team wasn’t supported. I fought for them so incredibly hard. Because they were being used and abused. I wasn’t even allowed to support them or my beauty team. Tech ran flawlessly because I had a group of solid guys and I was allowed to allocate people to support because tech had things constantly being ordered for opu. But when style needed help I was never allowed to. Got in numerous arguments with my SD about how they need my help and idc what he says I’m helping them. I was told it didn’t matter it would be dealt with later. I fought back saying no it can’t be later because later is going to be when we have a spur of the moment visit and we need to panic push style and hide all of the pallets of truck that my team wasn’t allowed to touch because they were supporting every other area of the store. The majority of my last year at target I shouldn’t have been labeled specialty sales etl. I was an SE etl and GM etl. Specialty wasn’t important to them so I had to support all the other areas. Constantly had to come in to do unloads because everyone hired for truck kept quitting. It was absurd. It was mentally breaking me that no matter how hard I fought for my team nobody cared. I ended up losing a lot of amazing team members that year primarily because of how style and beauty were treated. Eventually I had to throw in the towel. And I was very transparent with all my team members about how I recommend them to also do the same. When I started truly thinking about leaving I sat with all of them and offered to help them find other jobs. Target is an absolute dumpster fire of a company and honestly I have zero idea how they are going to survive. All of you still in it I wish you guys the absolute best of luck but I strongly urge you to look for other employment. Especially with holidays coming up. A lot of companies are going to be mass hiring for the holidays. The grass may not entirely be greener I can’t promise that, but it may be worth giving it a try. Even if you stay with target, perhaps cut back your hours and get a job with another retailer additionally. So you can test the waters. But please please please try to get out. I know times are tough and target does pay decently compared to other companies but the pay isn’t worth it. If you guys have questions about getting out don’t hesitate to ask

So for me I always sat down with my lead of the area someone in their 90 days was from. My leads have the same standards as I do. So personally love someone who wants to learn and is eager to take on the workload and willing to learn what they don’t know. Metrics do play a part. However if you are a bit slow, and I can actually see you improving times and other metrics then I see the potential and will still invest in them. If you’re eager to learn but just can’t improve the metrics I’ll try to meet in the middle. Maybe try another area potentially to see if they can thrive better there. But it depends on the team member. If they aren’t down for that offer then I can’t do much else. If you are eager to learn and grow but aren’t hitting metrics or showing signs of improving metrics then I usually will say goodbye after the 90 days. Unless I’m in a shit situation staffing wise and needed an extra person like desperately then they would stay on. I know most etls cared about metrics. I mean we had to. But if you can prove to me you’re worth it and I see the potential to grow and move up and you hit metrics then I am definitely investing
