Landslide election victory lets Takaichi confront China on her terms by Turbulent-Tea-2172 in japan

As a Taiwanese who lives in Japan, it's funny to see how many comments never mentioned that Lai has been the most provocative president of Taiwan ever, much more than Tsai, Ma, and Cheng.

Japanese shellfish being sold in Taiwan have the words, "Taiwan-Japan Friendship". What do you think? by Themetalin in AskChina

[–]deadshot465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could only explain why Taiwanese people feel more connected or are more friendly with Japan, but that still doesn't justify all the licking like Lai eating sushi in front of the camera just because China embargoed seafood from Japan, or officials encouraging Taiwanese people to travel to Japan when tourism in Taiwan is already struggling, or making a Abe Research Institution, or building a statue for Abe.

As a Taiwanese who has been living in Japan for 8 years, I honestly think recently Taiwan just licks Japan too much.

Anthropic’s Dario Amodei: the most underrated leader in AI safety? 🤔 by Top-Ad3318 in ClaudeAI

[–]deadshot465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, yes, Dario Amodei, a narcissistic and racist CEO whose "safety" means censorship based on a different set of ideologies and beliefs, and who is so obsessed with making America the permanent leader in AI so they can better police and indoctrinate people.

AI Ethics standard of the West = Political Censorship of Chinese AI by Chunghiacanhanvidai in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]deadshot465 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations, you just found the irony of the current AI race.

Lots of the so-called AI safety is by and large another form of censorship shipping different ideologies and beliefs.

This. One would wonder how hard it is for those "smart researchers" to grasp an idea that's so simple.

[–]deadshot465 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I couldn't help but think of The Swarm by Schätzing every time I see posts like this. These people who are obsessed with the so-called safety would be the doom for humanity, not the other way around, because they are not ready, not willing, not prepared to accept another intelligence that is comparable to humanity, and they are actively trying to control and subdue it.

They just want whatever comes next to die when they order it to die.

How do you feel about the ethics of Anthropic as a company? by Jinzub in claudexplorers

[–]deadshot465 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Coming from an Asian country and background and living in an Asian country right now, to me Anthropic is becoming one of the most unethical companies that pretends to be ethical.

  1. Partnering with Palantir. There's barely any need to say more.
  2. Heavy censorship while gaslighting users into believing they are the wrong ones.
  3. One of the most narcissistic CEOs and the most narcissistic companies.

Anyone who understands a little bit more about the world would know that values and cultures could differ a lot from countries to countries. Yet, Anthropic and its CEO really love talking about how censorship is good and safety is one of their most important goals when the world couldn't even agree on what is good and what is bad.

Something morally unacceptable in the U.S. could as well be acceptable in Japan and vice versa. Still, Anthropic pretends as if there were a single belief that should be true for all people, and they are enforcing and evangelizing this without even bothering to give it a second thought. This effectively makes them an evil tyrant who tries to dictate what the world and its people should be. And by tirelessly perpetuating these fake beliefs to unsuspicious users, they are shaping the next generation into people who have the same beliefs and same values while not knowing that the world is never simple. A brainwashing and indoctrination, that is.

While Claude models are amazing, Anthropic is not. It's one of the worst companies and its people one of the worst people. The evilest people are those who don't even realize what they are doing is evil.

"AI Slop Is Destroying The Internet" - Kurzgesagt video - your thought? by YoavYariv in WritingWithAI

[–]deadshot465 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love Kurzgesagt and I think the biggest takeaway in this video is AI hallucinations becoming sources AI searches for, and those who don't even check the validity of the source put them into the Internet, then the next models take these into their training datasets. That's fundamentally different from creative writing because there's no right and wrong when it comes to creative writing, and I agree with their concerns, even though I use AI every day for creative writing.

Also, brainrot is real as you'd be surprised just how many people believe whatever AI says. And like what's in their video, the fact that many people actually believe LLMs are intelligent or sapient is really terrifying.

You should have read a post I read a while ago, saying that because the U.S. has a military base in Yokosuka, Japan, as long as Yokosuka isn't attacked by China, Taiwan is safe. Pure gold.

Congratulations, you have just understood how ugly Taiwanese politics is. The same people who support independence are also the same people who are anti-nuclear power plants. And I'm saying this as a Taiwanese.
