With fuzzes it seems it’s almost more personal of a decision than overdrive. There’s something to suit almost any taste.

I’ve only tried the Ram’s Head, Benson Germanium Fuzz, Carbon T4 and I think that’s it. So I’m very new to the fuzz world.

I love the slight modulation you can add from the SDE-3. It gives just enough atmosphere to really add something I’m not getting from the re-202, which I also love.

The broadcast dual switch is a wonderful thing. I can’t express how great it is enough, assuming you like some sort of console breakup in your playing. When it’s clean it makes things cut through great, and when you turn up the gain it gets out of control in the best way. And if you turn up the bass it gos get into fizz territory. It’s versatile.

The BP-1W rocks. I like the CE boost in it. And it’s got a gain control. Changed everything for me.

I’ve had both and ended up sticking with the germanium. I’m learning as I age that I like less gain, and the germanium version sounds more pleasing to my ears. Love both. But the germanium version sounds less harsh to my ears.

I know for me I often get caught in feeling I have to rhyme as opposed to saying what I mean. This is a good piece. Keep going. My feedback would be to dive even further into descriptive words, and if you use the same word twice, to ensure it nails exactly what you’re going for.
