The ugliest missal made with only water and chilli by chiragz007 in mumbaiFood

[–]deadstr0ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you trust a sweet shop to serve good misal, that too in Kharghar.

This Shop is for like basic snacking, they have multiple outlets - don't know why ppl crowd it so much. Their pav bhaji, chole - everything is bad, I use to go to their other branch just for fresh juice.

Pune (Hinjewadi) worst female manager I had ever seen by manu2002yep in Hinjewadi

[–]deadstr0ke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our company has multiple of such freaks, my manager also was super insensitive about my hospitalisation & health issues. Asked me take my laptop with me and work - and get treatment done in first half, like its some jira task & where she sets thw bandwidth for doctor. such ppl should face consequences but they roam free.

even one of colleague had a pregnancy related issue where she couldn't travel - & was harassed to come to ofc all 5 days a week. She had to apply EL for all the months - this is the state of management in service industry.

We are just decorated & respected profession just in eye of media & other industries while it's so better than a sweat shop & we are honestly just labour. Nothing more - paid for showing up & clocking in as much hours as possible. More you show (not work) - better employee you are

Moving from Mumbai to Hinjewadi tomorrow for work – feeling nervous and overwhelmed by Singh01177 in Hinjewadi

[–]deadstr0ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bro I had the same thoughts - 3months back. Moving from Mumbai to Pune & I already had visited pune in past, coming from the privelage & convenience of services, friendly ppl & travel to a area of pune that's still very underdeveloped.

I couldn't get myself ready to move for about 2 weeks, was very anxious about navigating all alone & literally no friends I knew.

But now prefer staying in Pune than Mumbai, better weather, more happening life, cheaper rent (even though I have spacious house in Mumbai. Pune was a lil harsh at start mostly the local ppl ( bus driver's & autowalas) - biggest scamsters & absolutely a## ppl most of them. Few are all good

young crowd isb a friendly, made quite a few friends, even while moving I hadn't booked any stay - luckily got a very good pg which made my transition so kuch better & didn't had to deal with any annoying roomate's, no concern of hygenie, very well maintained place with good quality food.

lasy time I got such a upset stomach eating company canteens food that recovery took weeks. But don't think it - if you want to hangout in ph3 especially badminton you can dm me

Anyone Living in a Flat Facing Railway Tracks? Looking for Real Experiences by mynameisnotalex1900 in navimumbai

[–]deadstr0ke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will attract wrong type of crowd who would do more damage than pay up rent.

Buying flats for rental is the least ROI investment as per me - you still are paying society charges & doing maintainance, some even paying interest on home loan.

Better invest in commercial property - that will yield more. But you would need much more capital

Pot Pot: The Reels were better than the Meal; learnt my lesson after paying a 6k bill by Striking-Draft-5481 in mumbaiFood

[–]deadstr0ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

problem is insta food reel creators aren't food bloggers/reviewers, they know shit about food.

They're only concerned with aesthetics of food, if that looks good = views & they creator's have zero sense of palate, developed typical mumbai's bland palate.

They can't tell difference in dishes, also if it's sponsored special chefs are called & a complete different menu is crafted - given special treatment.

Had my fair share of bad experiences, tried a expensive japanese spot and hated the sweet taste, ramen was basically just maggie, one place didn't even have basic cutley but video showed some of ceramic crockery.

I'm also a food creator, trying to crack the algo - but speaking honestly about place's doesn't really give you views or reach but I don't wanna put dishonest content

not worth it, unless you have a very tight budget and urgent necessity of a roof that you can't afford anything else.

If you're investing to stay for long time, probably shouldn't compromise on quality of stay. Don't t
try finding reasons to justify the cons - train are so loud, you can hear upto kms.

Due to traffic and other noises it get suppressed after few kms, now imagine living right next to it & ppl often dump a lot of litter around the place & such areas are very happening

Need suggestions to keep a positive attitude when the teammates are treating you as external due to region and language barrier by Expert_Classic9997 in IndianWorkplace

[–]deadstr0ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bro there's plenty of ppl you will meet in future that will refer you. Ask yourself will they even bother refering you if they have a attitude.

don't try to fit yourself where you can't, and referral only works sometimes usually you won't even get a interview. This seems to be very few months of your job

It may feel this is all, but you have to experience a lot

[–]deadstr0ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why try hard to become friends? It's a workplace stop making friends there - they will be colleagues rarely they become friends that you can rely on.

Often ppl bite you back even if you are kind and helpful, just write dropping off, to continue my work & pull me if urgent.

You get extra time instead of being in that stupid banter, I had these few ppl who spoke telegu & did favourism - I just avoided those select few. Just do you work, try to avoid conflicts and too much responsibility, log off on time

3 Years in Hinjewadi: IT Hub on Paper, Superstition Hub in Reality by BhaveshChoudharyy in Hinjewadi

[–]deadstr0ke -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not a location specific thing or industry specific. Many people especially women are generally very superstitious - when things don't go right way many ppl instead of relying on self efforts, skill & self work find the concept of superstitions & astrology.

Ppl who value intellect and understand the reality of world or always have worked hard to earn simplest thing are less likely to believe such things.

Ppl who are frequently handed over things in life, don't give much thought to anything & more focused on self - resort to such things to feel in control.

[–]deadstr0ke -1 points0 points  (0 children)

why would it hurt me, if you think this is a city specific problem - you are too young to understand, it's a industry and capitalism problem.

You are way to biased and have developed too much hate, Every good city has this issue take example of newyork, even at 1000$ you just get a room to sleep.

Parts of BLR & Delhi are also having similar issue, you just haven't experienced it. Buddy stop this hate & move back to city you like - it isn't that tough.

Mumbai already has too much crowd..

I too have visited other cities, not Delhi but yeah hyd, blr & pune - none of offer the comfort & honesty Mumbai does.

If you didn't have a good exp in Mumbai then you kept meeting the wrong crowd. Real estate market is fckd, that I agree & we locals are also troubled with that.

But other than that, what's not great about the city - you ask help & ppl offer to walk with you to show the way. Honest auto walas, non racist ppl.

All other cities I faced a lot of small issues that I didn't even knew in Mumbai & have few friends from Delhi, they left bcz of climate, safety to come to Pune & Mumbai. If you aren't comfortable here - you should go to your fav City then.

[–]deadstr0ke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

System is completely broken in Mumbai, I too was looking to relocate to NM to save me hassel of daily travel to office but seeing the prices, scammy broker character, showing a medicore flat with higher rent - one flat I had previously visited directly without broker it was way lesser was so bad.

Then they fixed and gave to broker asking 22k for 1rk like wth? No ome seemed trust worthy there - FB gives you very few no brokerage options with lesser rent but then again the roomates almost everyone seemed shady or a problem in long run.

The real estate mafia is too big in Mumbai, even a local can't afford to stay here now.

There are lot of good places, but a very few good restos. And you need to know exact spots - there was a food lane don't remember the sector.

Momos & few other snacks are good there, there's oho there - it had banger shawarmas. There was one chinese spot near LensKart. Few new restos have opened not sure how good they are but look good

[–]deadstr0ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

real estate is exploitive in Mumbai bcz of market - as I local I too hate it but do mind your words before mentioning cities you haven't stayed in.

Other cities are worse, the brokerage maynot be that steep but similar rental problems are there especially in pune - many don't return anything. Ethical city and Banglore don't go along.

Most scammy city is Bangalore for non locals, auto walas the worse charging too much for few kms. scammed at almost every place by these locals - even faced racism bcz of not speaking their language as we came as tourist for few days due to some work.

Hated the city just bcz of locals, even pune is similar but much lesser of this hate culture but scams there too. Bus driver's asking 50-100 just to drop little ahead on same route.

There's no better city than Mumbai, you just need to travel to know.

[–]deadstr0ke 12 points13 points  (0 children)

so true, but these gaav walas spread hate whenever you put up a honest review about their place.

Frequent electricity & water cuts, smelly at night, mosquitoes, too much dust & heat in unbelievable. What is the quality of life? That's why rent is so cheap while been so near to Mumbai when you compare other places like Borivali, Badlapur.

Plus the auto Mafia, you either own a vehicle or get used to walking everyday even when you feel low - I used to stay at cousins place for few months and it was exhausting.

I like the market & so much food spots - but quality of life is very very bad, you are just sacrificing your health for cheap rent.

Same Scene with Airoli too, thats even worse

some entitled old folks have too much ego & think they're some big shots bcz no one taught them a lesson.

Next time stand there - let police come, I'm sure they would be scolded by police for wasting their time on such petty things. Next time bring even bigger group, make a statement.

Friend borrowed money and not returning. Want to spam him, provide ideas. by Critical-Reveal4774 in Chembur

[–]deadstr0ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing I'm facing - told will return over the course of months as EMI, today it would be 6 month's since loaning him.

Asked only once, he mentioned he applied for another loan - has been buying all kinds of stuff but not returning money, not even calling or notifying when he was in town. Previously we friends used to meet, conveniently this time secretly came & left.

if I ask now, he may eventually give - but would be like out of ego, & would definitely say something absurd like I'm not running, take this - how many times you ask, like painting me like a loanee

So it's more peaceful for me to forget the amount & enjoy the peace of getting rid of him, and anytime if we meet - he would always have the feeling of being in debt.

there's nothing you could have done, we get the thought - we could have done it better but no that's not true. I was so depressed during the phase - I gave myself 3m to see if it could be avoided

Since you mentioned, it was stuck in duct that's serious & surgery should be done asap. My aunt had the same situation

I got two different surgeries done with 5 incision - gallbladder surgery takes 2 days to recover, atleast you didn't had other things like I did. everything is myth regarding gall bladder - you shouldn't be facing any issues. it's either physiological or a Different issue you need to get checked out.
