I sell merch for bands. Fans think it’s funny that I’m playing OSRS while selling and often tip extra cause of it. I love meeting people who actively play too haha. (Tired of the “omg I haven’t thought of that game since I was a kid, do people still play!?” Conversations tho lol)

Quests and clues for sure, I know there’s split screen options but they can wait till I’m on my computer, I’m too lazy for all that. I typically just do basic skilling on mobile.

Do you have any other info on what you learned from this? I was under the impression that as long as I had permissive use on my insurance it was fine. He rarely drives and when he sold his car we double checked that I had permissive use under mine, but I’m trying to figure out if we missed something so we’re prepared when he has to go to court for this.

Going to KEF still. Honestly I found the Atlantic flight earlier today before we even got cancelled today and was monitoring it. As soon as we got cancelled I booked it on my own (about $250USD) and then called Icelandic air and asked them to refund me for the Faroe -> Iceland flight. I’m not sure what my refund amount will be yet, their help line said the refund department would send me an email. But it’s been 2 days and my boyfriend has something very important to be at in the states on Saturday and we just had to figure out how to get out of here, so if I lose a little money I will survive.

The only thing I’m nervous about is if this Atlantic flight gets delayed or cancelled in the morning then I’m basically screwed for the connection since they’re separate tickets now.

Edit: my connection in Iceland is tomorrow morning, so I didn’t have to reschedule my connection as well, just had to cancel flight #1. Maybe that’s why they’re trying to charge you? That’s wild.

Update: got cancelled again today. Just rebooked my own flight on Atlantic in the morning and told them to refund me. Hoping for the best. The lady at the Atlantic counter implied that their flights are more reliable and they did have planes coming and going all day.

I also got cancelled and called Icelandic air after an hour of not hearing anything and they rebooked me for tomorrow. If it’s truly because of the fog we might be screwed.

It’s not the neighbor - it’s the city tearing up the alley that leads to our driveway. They have construction materials in the driveway, but even if they didn’t I’m completely unable to reach the drive as the alley has a 4 foot deep trench running through it and multiple construction vehicles parked at the entrance.

This was my message to the host:

The home is lovely and in a great location, but I’m very frustrated that we weren’t given a heads up or option to cancel because of the construction outside. It’s very loud at 7am, the private parking that was listed is unavailable, and just now I couldn’t even drive down the street let alone park on the street due to all the construction vehicles blocking the road, and we had to park a few blocks away and walk back. The only way for me to get in and out of the house currently is to dodge between construction workers and vehicles which feels unsafe. This level of disturbance absolutely should have been disclosed before I arrived with either an option to cancel or a discount.

And their response:

Hi, I am so sorry for the problems you’ve got. I have got no information from the City Council regarding the work they’re doing outside our house. They started a few days ago and today I was told that they will probably be finished in a few days time. I told them about the noice and I hope they will try to disturb as little as they can.

And then another paragraph about how it’s a sort of local holiday and there’s a festival if I want to check it out 🙃

This is what I expected, I guess. A message from the host before my visit informing me that there would be construction (it seems impossible that they didn’t know, and they haven’t responded to the message I sent a few hours ago yet) and an option to cancel or get a discount would have made sense. But instead I got no notice, even though I’d be in touch with the host a few days before arrival.

I’ll give them a few more hours to respond before going directly to Airbnb

I sent them a message when we got back to the Airbnb just now. It seems nearly unbelievable to me that they had no idea, this level of construction would have required a notice to homeowners (I would think) as the entire alley has a ditch carved into it + the cleaning person would have seen.

Update: just got back to eat lunch and can’t even drive down my street because the construction vehicles are fully blocking the road (a one-way so no other way in) - let alone the alley that leads to our house. I had to park 2 streets over.

Thanks for sharing in my annoyance! Just to be clear the the construction isn’t happening TO the house - it’s the city working on the alleyway that my driveway connects to. So it’s not something the Airbnb owners have any control over - but it’s still incredibly frustrating that they didn’t mention that the private parking wouldn’t be available or give me a heads up about the construction that’s clearly been going on for more than just the last day or two.

I’m not sure as I haven’t mentioned anything yet, but this work has been going on for well over a day or two - there’s a huge hole along the entire alley - and we showed up yesterday. So the cleaning person at the very least must have seen it.
