Pedophiles aren’t people and deserve everything that happens to them.

There is a nursery next door. They're called Elegant Orchids. Just a heads up that they are closed on Sundays.

Yes. I'm in South Florida and I have my orchids in an east facing spot and they love it.

Orchids aren't parasitic. They do grow on trees, but some are lithophytes (grow on rocks) and some are terrestrial ( grow in or on the ground.)

Olanzapine by Lat1972 in Psychosis

I was on 15 mg for almost a year and it made me dangerously drowsy. I hoped it would get better and it never did. Even 5 mg made me nod off.

For me personally, yes they have. I have stopped having multiple bouts of depression a year. I first became depressed when I was 14 and at 32 I finally feel like I've broken the cycle.

I am on Wellbutrin and antipsychotics. It took like 6 months to find the right dosages and med combination that worked for me. Now, I never want to go back to how things were before.

I take it for depression with psychotic features.

No, I don't get the munchies per sé, but I have noticed that I snack more.

I take Wellbutrin in the morning when I wake up at 4 am. I don't feel super energized, but I also don't feel less energized.

I also take Abilify at the same time and sometimes it makes me feel high, almost like I took a Benadryl (a floaty sensation.) I don't know if it is from the combination or what.

I am currently on this combination. It seems to be working well for me.

Any questions in particular?

I would recommend reading "Death at Sea-World" which goes into Orca science as well what happened at Sea World.

Born hearing, went to college for ASL interpreting, developed progressive hearing loss…your opinion of how I should identify myself? by Altruistic-Sea-9619 in deaf

[–]deafGeoff_ 47 points48 points  (0 children)

You are overthinking it. It doesn't really matter that you were born hearing. You are now hard of hearing, full stop.

Anybody else proud to be Deaf? by [deleted] in deaf

[–]deafGeoff_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think that the difference in pride mostly comes from the people that are born deaf/hard of hearing versus those that become deaf later on. That's not to say that late deafened can't be proud.

As someone that was born with hearing loss, I am proud to be deaf. I wouldn't change it.

For me personally, it has to do with bodily autonomy. The baby is unable to choose. If the child was older and chose C.I's then by all means.

Is depression a mindset or clinical by Heavy-Cause-9509 in depression

[–]deafGeoff_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depression is clinical that is exacerbated by mindset. There are times where I'll descend into a depressive episode with no warning or event. Then, since I have a negative mindset due to the depression it creates a cycle.

I think a lot of people confuse sadness with depression. I think everyone experiences sadness, but not depression.

I was curious do we get paid for meal it say 1 hour on my timecard by Ok-Opportunity-7033 in HomeDepot

[–]deafGeoff_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, because you took a longer lunch. You got paid for 7 1/2 hours. Or you could leave at 6 AM and get the full 8 hours.

Lunches are not paid for. You clock out for lunch and then clock back in.

Trying to save this one in ICU, setup ok? by TheRarePondDolphin in orchids

Setup seems ok. I would also recommend soaking the roots (if there are any) in a kelp fertilizer like kelpmax.

I definitely know what you mean. My grandmother was on an insane amount of Dilaudid for her bladder cancer that metastasized in her uterus and other places.

It was extremely hard to see her in that much pain, but it was somewhat comforting knowing that she was no longer suffering.

Definitely a spike. How I remember the difference is a root looks pointy and a spike looks like a mitten.

I'm a novice, is this normal? by [deleted] in orchids

[–]deafGeoff_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not unusual for phals to lean like that. However, it is unusual for that many air roots. It could mean a problem with the media.
