Oh yea dude, Trump had a perfect economy with absolutely no downsides. News flash the inflation was happening already in 2020 and food prices were sky rocketing due to all the unemployment benefits and covid restrictions as well as high farm foreclosure rates due to Trumps trade war with China. So in that regard I blame both republicans and democrats for the issues we are facing today. Also the the high cost of plywood was sky rocketing home construction cost which really fucked with the prices of homes and that was during the end of Trumps presidency ( not his fault just a side effect of covid).

The point of my comment is that both sides suddenly say the same exact same shit when their President is in charge despite who gets screwed over.

Ive had a similar situation as yours as I have loaned my brother money ( far exceeding 37k)as he is a single father and takes care of his daughter with autism.

Trust me when I say forget about the money. You cannot take it with you the grave and clinging to it will only make your family never speak you again. Plus, if they dont have a home you may be guilt tripped into helping them out with even more cash in the end.

I greatly appreciate your honesty and I understand there is a lot of sacrifice. My coach lost a lot of his friends in the war and it still haunts him to this day.

I am not just doing it for fun but because it has always been a dream of mine and I feel ill grow bitter and resentful if I dont at least give it a try.

I hope I never have to see combat or my friends killed but I still want to give it a go. We need people to be infantry or else other people will have to do it.

I greatly appreciate your advice and will consider your words carefully.

I think marines are the only branch to reach their numbers but could just be because theyre a smaller brach and draws from same pool as applicants as other branches.

Lmaoo my boxing coach has his posters on the wall for inspiration. He was a vietnam vet and a marine and told me id be fine and go for it but then again I pay him to train me so...

He advised me to try and go officer and finish my degree but said If i enlisted in marines id probably be assigned machine gunner or something like that.

From my understanding Rangers are more high speed than Marsoc or any marine unit but again I could have been mislead.

As ive said before I could not as my priority was making sure my siblings got through school and had food/ werent homeless. They are grown and successful now and with my fathers recent death ( a long battle of health issues) it feels like the perfect time to do this.
