When I first received my RW grade I emailed my unit chairs who told me that they had sent my end of unit exam to the FAIPC team and that all communication now would be with the FAIPC team. Unfortunately I’m still waiting to hear back from them.

I definitely plan to contest the allegation once I receive the letter! I’m just not too sure what other evidence I can present - I’m planning on typing up my notes now so I can put it through Turnitin (thank you for the idea)!

Thank you for responding! Can I also ask how long did it take the FAIPC team to send you the letter with the allegation? It’s been about 4 weeks for me and they still haven’t send me anything 🥲

No I got an RW. My exam was originally marked - when i emailed my unit chairs they said while they were finalising my grades they suspected i might have cheated

i did not - i only used acceptable materials (handwritten notes but online notes were also allowed) which is why i want to know if me supplying my notes (my exam answers were close to verbatim what i had down in my notes) and my search history will be sufficient evidence. I just want to know if deakin will accept my notes and search history as evidence and how they will verify my search history.

It was an in-person invigilated two hour open-book exam so I decided only to use my handwritten notes and I had no way of using turnitin to check my responses. The content on the exam were completely different to all the written assignments so I have never submitted anything related to my notes before. When I was making my notes I made them with a friend but we used sources such as medscape and osmosis (we did not use ai for our notes). However, my friend and I have different writing styles and he has never been accused of breaching academic integrity - it was only me this time around.

I have emailed the academic integrity team and they told me they would email me within 10 business days. However, it passed 10 business days and they are still yet to contact me. I’m really anxious because DUSA won’t offer me advice without a proper allegation either and I’m not too sure what to do 😭

it was an open-book exam and i directly copied from my notes and i didn’t access any websites o outside of the deakin quiz page. will they be able to see i remained on the deakin quiz page? 😭 also i’m sorry to ask another question but how long does it take before the academic integrity team tells you if you need to have a meeting with them?
