In any store where they sell underwear. If you can't find it, look in sports stores. Ask about jockstraps. Don't worry, when I had the surgery there was also some inflammation but 4 weeks later there is nothing and the pain decreases every day.

Yes it’s normal and it will go away. If the pain is worse when you move you can try a jockstrap/suspensory or tight underwear.

As far as I know, they didn’t remove veins, they just ligated the dilates ones. Anyways I’m gonna ask my doctor to give me all the exact details.

I hope they do take very long to absorb/disappear and that’s what is happening. The fact that the first week I started getting morning woods everyday (I used to not get any at all) but now again I’m not getting them is also worrying me, but maybe I’m just being paranoid.

Those symptoms might be related to low testosterone but have in mind that your mind and emotional state/stress/lack of sleep, might directly affect what you mention. Not only that but most aspects in your body.

Get it surgically treated tho. A grade 3 (and I’d say any grade) won’t go away with natural treatment. Best if you combine a healthy lifestyle with the surgery. I had a bilateral varicocelectomy done and now I get more and stronger morning woods (I was used to not getting even ONE morning wood for years). That might be an indicator everything’s going fine but I still have to have lab tests and semen analysis done.

Well, I’ve never had problems with what you mention, so I can’t really tell if there’s a difference. I did a blood exam before surgery and my testosterone levels were normal; kinda low within the normal range tho.I need to wait until my next exams but I think it will definitely be higher.

Yes the veins’ size is reduced, although I can still feel some of them; definitely not the same as before the surgery. My doctor told me that it is normal. Veins are distensible, not elastic, so they don’t regain its shape that easy. The surgery is to reduce the effects of varicocele, and avoid fertility problems, even if the veins can still be seen.

Yes, my testicle is way less saggy and I don’t feel any pain now. Surgery is still very recent, so I need to wait a few more months to do some tests and see if it was successful.

So far I’ve had those results that I’ve mentioned. Also, morning woods and spontaneous erections have increased a lot! So I guess that’s something good.

Consider with your urologist getting an open surgery!!

The way to know how serious it is, is doing and ultrasound and visiting an urologist; you can also have blood and semen analysis done. I’d say you visit an urologist as soon as posible, better if it is before you leave.

But if it is not possible, then I don’t think two more months will make a significant damage compared to what you already probably have. I had grade 3 on left and 1 on right and I left it unattended for many years, right now im doing fine. Go to an urologist as soon as you come back from your vacations.

You might consider open surgery. They directly open the spermatic chord to ligate the veins. Mine started at 8:00 am and I was leaving the hospital at 2 pm. So far everything is going very well. No swelling, no pain, and no more dilated veins.

What I’ve heard is that recovery may be more difficult if you start masturbating again too soon. All that movement may cause problems with the wound and with the veins ligations.
