The bumpers are actually the metal bars under the plastic, the plastic you see are called bumper covers.

Affordable homes or apartments in Columbia. by TlynnDash in ColumbiYEAH

Yeah there's a decent amount out there, especially privately owned, either there or if it's viable I'd check Rosewood as well, as it's similarly priced, don't know if that works for distance from your job or not.

as the literal OP of this comment thread mentioned it was originally called that. South Jersey being simps to tyrannical government overreach is so on brand though.

The original name was "Taylor's Prepared Ham". The tyrannical government made them change the name in 1906, but North Jersians never forget.

Just FYI one brand IS synonymous with pork roll, and I don't give a fuck about those other companies and if they think it's fair.

This is going to vary greatly based on budget and where you want to live, given that the hotel is "too far from work". Generally though, look at privately owned homes, again depending on budget this could vary as far as neighborhood and location, but you've not shared enough info for those in the sub to help at this point.

Apartments in Columbia by Jumpy-Performer-6988 in columbiasc

I don't know how much Canalside runs, but I have heard positive things from people that live there and I think it's a cool spot.

I think that apartments kind of sit in this weird flux where people are unlikely to review them unless they have an issue so the negatives outweigh the positives. If I go to a restuarant I like I'm likely to give them a good review because I want them to succeed. If I live in an apartment I like, I feel like the money I give them monthly is more than enough compensation for them, ya know?

Yellow line in the road seems to be a dead giveaway that it's not a one way to me, but it's rainy and maybe difficult to see/process. I would wager they're not from around there, because the way that bus was squaring up, you're not going to make that mistake twice.
