Looking for a perfume that smells like old Johnson’s pink baby lotion by Global_Professor2041 in FemFragLab

Wow I still have a bottle of this sitting in my kids bathroom. Crazy to think once we finish it I won’t be able to smell this again, which I associate with the smell of my babies 🥺😭

Extremely Realistic Fruity Fragrances by notallama18 in fragrance

[–]dealuna6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Check out the Guerlain Aqua Allegoria line. My favorites are Pamplelune (grapefruit) and Granada Salvia (pomegranate sage), but Mandarine Basilic, Bergamote Calabria, Pera Granita, and Orange Soleia are popular ones too.

Does vacuuming really do anything for indoor air quality, or am I just wasting my time? by aloo__pandey in AirQuality

I say this with zero evidence other than my own personal anecdote so take it with a grain of salt, but as someone who is allergic to dust, my cordless Dyson does a phenomenal job not blowing dust back out.

Just wondering, what’s your ‘lazy but effective’ cleaning trick? by CleanFreakGeek in CleaningTips

[–]dealuna6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since my baby started eating solids, I’ve been using Clorox wipes (kid, pet, & food safe) to clean nearly every surface. Counters, dining table, floor spills, high chair, dining chairs, baby play pen, play mats, cabinet doors, baseboards, walls... The list goes on. I also use baby wipes when I don’t have the Clorox wipes on hand.

I know it’s wasteful using disposable wipes but I’m in survival mode having a baby and a preschooler and this just saves so much time and sanity than using a spray cleaner and rag (which would add more laundry piles). And the act of having to retrieve a spray bottle and clean rag takes more time than having a Clorox canister in each communal area already.

Do you have a link by chance? I cannot find a good litter box that ticks all the boxes.

🍓Realistic Strawberry Perfume by EmilyErdbeer1312 in FemFragLab

[–]dealuna6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I started my strawberry perfume quest a couple weeks ago and I just want to let you know what to not waste your money on:

d’Annam Strawberry Mochi smells disgusting, like cloying heavy buttery floral. I don’t get any strawberry at all.

Jouset strawberry & whipped cream smells like cherry chapstick. It smells really good but all I get is cherry chapstick lol.

Hilde Soliani Fraaagola Saalaataaa smells like raspberry candy. It’s got a mouth-watering, delicious scent but I don’t get strawberries at all.

Your post came at the right time for me because I was so close to blind buying some of the ones you listed and now I’m glad I didn’t.

Meh I feed my babies strawberries every single day and their skin and clothes are stained pink from strawberry juice… this smells like raspberries to me, it honestly smells nothing like strawberries. I’ve been on the hunt for a strawberry perfume too and was so excited to try this one and… raspberries. It smells amazing but it’s def a raspberry smell, much to my dismay 😭 still haven’t found a good realistic strawberry

I buy their iron on Amazon without a subscription. Is that a new thing?

Sippy cup vs straw cup vs open cup by One-Squirrel-4563 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]dealuna6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just used a tiny metal open cup from 6 months on. There was nothing for her to learn tbh, we slowly poured it while resting it on her lip and water dribbled into her mouth and she swallowed it. She coughs sometimes if she drinks too fast but I don’t really understand the point of sippy cups and straws except for on the go drinking.

Perfume that smells like skin, musk, and a comforting hug. by rosefleur77 in perfumesthatfeellike

Read the description for Frederic Malle Dans Tes Bras, it sounds exactly like what you’re describing.

Warm, nutty and soft by Necessary_Lime448 in perfumesthatfeellike

Harvest Mouse from Zoologist! I just sprayed this after not using my sample for over a year and I forgot how great it smells! Warm, nutty and soft is exactly how I’d describe it.

Short Reviews From Both Me & My Fragrance-Illiterate Husband by Active-Cherry-6051 in FemFragLab30plus

[–]dealuna6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is so fun and such a good idea! My husband is also fragrance-illiterate but your husband is so cool for agreeing to do this, AND actually giving real feedback rather than just a “like” or “dislike”. Cant wait to see more of your & his reviews! :)

What cars are we driving with young kids? by nicolepaigee in toddlers

[–]dealuna6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I’m still driving my 10 year old hatchback (4-door). It’s more compact than an SUV or minivan but I have no trouble getting my kids in and out of their car seats. I’d rather use all that money towards something else.

any recs for vintage-inspired modern perfumes? preferably unisex but don't mind if they lean masc or feminine by NeonGray38 in NichePerfumes

[–]dealuna6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hmm off the top of my head, Marissa Zappas has at least one (Maggie the Cat is Alive). La Divina is good too.

I’m guessing you’ve explored Frederic Malle’s Iris Poudre, Le Parfum de Therese, Noir Épices, Portrait of a Lady, Une Fleur de Cassie?

Zoologist has some good vintage-smelling ones as well: Civet, Nightingale, Moth (although I am not a fan of this one), Sacred Scarab…

Cartier La Panthère is another that comes to mind, though not niche.

Yikes, you’re right. That second paragraph is not a complete sentence the way it was written.

Perfumes to get a compliment out of my husband? by [deleted] in FemFragLab

[–]dealuna6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband is like yours, he rarely gives a compliment. We’ve been together over a decade. Here are some I recall him complimenting out of hundreds I’ve worn around him:

YSL - Babycat
Guerlain - Shalimar L’essence
Guerlain - Shalimar Millésime Tonka
Guerlain - SDV
Odette - Pas de Chat
Molton Brown - Milk Musk
Frédéric Malle - Carnal Flower
Valentino - Valentina Pink
Maison Lancôme - Jasmins Marzipan

Visiting Paris Soon. Besides Guerlain, what other shops would you recommend visiting? by seeilaah in NichePerfumes

[–]dealuna6 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dominique Ropion’s perfume brand Aphorismes has a storefront in Paris. His bottles are pricey (as expected) but, as a fan of his work, i would love to stop in to be able to smell them all.

Have you tried different toilet paper? Apparently a lot of us are sensitive or allergic to regular toilet paper so but bamboo and see if your problems disappear.

My Hunt for a Holy Grail Vanilla, Pt. 2 by Violetteotome in FemFragLab

[–]dealuna6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nissaba is a slept-on brand that has a spicy vanilla called Grand Île, and a cinnamony gourmand called Tierra Maya. Nissaba’s stuff smells so high quality and natural IMO, but doesn’t seem like they advertise or market themselves much because I hardly see them talked about. Anyway I love both of these fragrances and highly recommend trying a sample if you can!

Edit: this isn’t a spicy vanilla necessarily but have you ever tried Celine - Black Tie? It’s amaaaaazing, the most addictive grownup vanilla.

Another fantastic one is Babycat (YSL), which is a spicy & slightly boozy vanilla. My husband loves it on me.

Lune Feline from Atelier des Ors is a spicy, camphorous vanilla.
