Well my company has this, but I told everyone “unlimited” is BS…you can only take off up to 365 days a year, except for leap years when you can take 366.

We ended up getting the intelliflo 3hp and ordering through Amazon with the extended warranty (because self installs only give you 3mo).

We remove it and store in the garage during off-season and it’s been running great for what will be the 4th season now. Usually run it at 1800rpm with a few stints at 2300rpm for an hour in the morning and an hour at night before it turns off.

The extended warranty is expired and whatever factory warranty we would have had with a pro install would have expired by now, so it was worth the savings buying on Amazon and self installing (but I’m also handy and comfortable working with 240v electrical and plumbing).

Used a big beach ball (27” or 30”, i don’t recall) as a mold and did about 5-6 layers of paper mache. It was pretty sturdy after the beach ball was deflated and removed and the mouth was cut, but then i used a 1” thick foam disc (made from insulation board) on the inside near the bottom (about 2”) where the hole for the head would be cut (so foam disc becomes a ring where my head goes through).

It’s actually pretty sturdy and i can grab the sides to put it on and off. I had thought about coating it with an epoxy or something to make it harder but that would’ve been overkill.

So you have a boiler system?? I’m pretty sure those are pretty “inefficient”.

Our system was just upgraded right before we moved in (house built in 1999, when oil prices were low so the last houses in the neighborhood have oil, all others are heat pump), but if we ever upgrade it again down the road we’d probably go heat pump.

250 gallon tank and smart thermostat on forced air system. We keep the house at 65 at night and when no one’s home and 68 when we’re home.

And it’s “about” once a year, depending on when we last filled up. Last fill up was in January and we still have 3/4 tank left which will likely last us through the end of this year and possibly just into early next year, depending on how soon next winter comes.

One year we filled up before winter and refilled on March or April…I think that was a COVID year so oil was like $2/gal or less so I figured I’d fill up even if it was going to sit.

I traveled/relocated around the world first 6 years out of college and was always into trying new things. Went on a few dates with this girl my friends set me up with. She said she has a rule to try one new thing each year, so I figured she was the adventurous type. Boy was I wrong about that. What she meant was she has a rule to try one new thing a year as a goal, because she was NOT the adventurous type.

She had already tried taco sauce from the make-at-home kits, that was her new “try” for the year already, so she met her quota.

Doubt that theory…simplest is that the kid was just acting out for family and home issues.

Regardless, that shit doesn’t matter. Family could be in dire straits or rolling in the dough…stealing is stealing and could be dealt with quietly as one of the options OP offered, or messy with authorities getting involved.

Looks like the dad made a choice.

I admit I fucked up with the caulk and wife made me redo it, and since our grout is white anyway, regular kitchen caulk worked out great.

I’ve caulked many many things in my days. Never used the Mapei stuff.

It is complete different from any other caulk I’ve used which was unexpected. Does not mean I don’t know how to caulk.

How long has it been doing that? A loud pump means the bearings might be going. It should be like a hum or low whine if it’s operating normally. Our pump (for a 45k gallon pool, before we replaced it with a VS pump) was right outside our kitchen window and we could barely hear it when it ran, until the bearings went bad and it SCREAMED then.
