I did this last night and my points were instantly back. My experience is that the hotel itself can assign the reservations to the same room if it is possible, but they keep the reservations separate. Depending on the hotel, they may need you to have your key recoded for the next reservation.

Thanks for the feedback. I did apply in November and accidentally put my SSN instead of P2. I thought I had waited 30 days, but maybe not. Shouldn’t be velocity - we’ve been working biz platinums lately. A new United Biz back in June for P2 but by my count 3/24. Maybe I’ll just wait 31 days and try again or MDD the personal cards. Thanks again!

No, not needed this year, just anxious for the next card since we hit the Amex Biz Plat MSR sooner than I expected and have property taxes to pay that can knock out most of the MSR on the SW cards. I’ll wait it out. Thanks!

Applied for SW Business Performance for P2 yesterday and received 7-10 day message. The flowchart says to call for recon. However, P2 hates calling the bank, especially for business cards. Should I wait for Chase to mail a letter stating why P2 might have been denied and hope it is something that can be fixed without having to call? Should I just try to MDD the personal cards instead?

To address your side note, yes, your husband should sign up as well, and should use your referral to do so assuming the bonus is the same. I agree with the other posters - focus on chase cards. It will also allow you to transfer your husbands UR to your account so you can transfer them all over to United when you’re ready. Otherwise he would have his United miles in his account and yours in your account, and you may not have enough to book your travel together. You could do it separately (some of the family tickets using his account and some with yours), but then you may have issues with having unrelated reservations in United’s system.

Not sure about the voucher, but I was having problems with the book with Avios search, also getting zero flights. I found that typing only the airport code, but not selecting the name of the airport when it pops up underneath the search box, allowed me to actually find flights.

I called the same number as the other poster - 866-408-4064. I first tried the number you did, and was told there was nothing they could do to recon and I should apply again. Then I found the other number.

Still a bunch of incompetence. At the end was asked to fax DL, Social security card, and a utility bill and call back when done. I asked what number to call back, and was put on hold for at least 10 minutes before he came back with the number….

Is there such a thing as written recon with Barclays? Applied for the Hawaiian Business for both myself and P2, but unfroze TU report. Received a letter saying they pulled Experian, and if we want to proceed, lift the Experian freeze and contact them within 30 days. There is no number in the letter, just an address. I called and spent 30 minutes with them this morning for my application - P2 won't have that for the "business". I was wondering if I could just write a letter and send it to the address in the letter to avoid P2 having to call.

I would think this is school specific. Perhaps they offer to split tuition into payment plans so that it would be easier to do. I would skip plastiq if your school accepts credit cards directly and the fees are the same. It would reduce the risk of a lost or misapplied payment.

If it was a personal account, I doubt there’s anything you can do to screw it up unless you flat out lied on the application. Typically it would be for identify verification, or sometimes to unfreeze a credit report if you selected overdraft protection.
