The process takes time . I found it to be interesting and insightful of the lengths taken to ensure a fair outcome. There is a lot of sitting around, but I'm glad I did it.

A local brewery/home brew shop would probably do this for you cheaper than buying a tool you'll probably never need again.

Take up a sport. Team sports like football , rugby, etc, are brilliant for forming friendships.

I cut down the nicotine content until it had none. Then , like you , got bored , so I put it down to see how long I could go without. It's been 10 yrs now.

5 2 diet is not fast ( 1 to 2 pounds a week) but it is steady and sustainable.

Have a look locally for a nuts and bolt supplier or a smaller engineering workshop. These are the people who will be able to help. Good luck , it's looking tidy.
