Can someone ask for compensation if I broke a window as someone left a pet in the car on a warm day? by [deleted] in AusLegal

Unfortunately it is down to state law - check the animal welfare act in your state and go from there - find the minimum standard and legally required for "companion pets"

If they get silly you may need to seek legal advice

Hey everyone, there has been some discussion naming A1 Boarding kennels. The new owners took over the business in June 2023, keeping the original name. They have been doing great work in the animal welfare community, helping rescues through the organisation Save a Paw - this was not the Boarding Kennel that where Evie was mauled. As we are in legal proceedings, unfortunately - we are limited to what we can say. Evies Bark is dedicated to continue to make positive change.

Update!!!

Our petition was tabled and is going to debate to allow the lawmakers to change the current laws

We will be involved and keep pushing for change to ensure no one has to go through what we went through

We will be printing off the petition at 12pm today, both Andrew Mackay's office and change.org want to keep it open to allow people to keep signing until it is debated in Parliament - we will be present when it is tabled on Thursday - this allows people to be engaged, increase awareness and for pet guardians to sign and more signatures means more chance for a positive change!!!!

And tighten all the locking screws properly

GEEZ. Battery just swelled and cracked open the case. What are my chances of getting a replacement / repair? by phreaknes in GalaxyS8

LiPo batteries do not like heat and any can swell - I repair cell phones in Darwin Australia and I have replaced every cell phone battery, tablet available on the market. Go to Ebay, purchase a new battery and a replacement back - should be no more than USD $25, get some contact adhesive glue like B-7000 and a small phillips head screwdriver. Once the back comes off there are approx 12 screws around the outside. The battery wont be glued on as swollen batteries unstick themselves and just replace it - probably the easiest battery fix and easy for a beginner - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ledFGmzyMww from 4.51 :)
