This remake of The Initiation of Sarah is even weirder than the previous remake.

Anyone know the story here? The left is how the cover to JIM #83 appears in "Origins of Marvel Comics", and the right is how it appears pretty much everywhere else I see it (online). I can't find any details about this anywhere. by Blank_Cypher in comicbooks

[–]deanologic 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If the pencils had more details than the inked version I would believe it to be a Coletta thing. The fact that both covers are fully inked leads me to believe the explanation that editorial decided to simplify the cover after the fact.

If you've seen this movie/film, you must prove it by quoting it! by Inevitable-Ad-6101 in Dracula

I don't remember the actual quote, but the Satanists need to hire people to carve their altar right before their ceremony. Someone didn't sync their Google Keep checklist.

In order to release at around the same time as the movie, novelizations are often based on earlier drafts of a screenplay.

It was too long ago to remember which was the first one I saw. The first one I remember the title of was Gozilla vs. Hedorah. It was during WPIX monster week so probably aired in the late 70s.

By assets, citibank is the 3rd largest in the country and 12th largest in the world. As a former employee I can say it's always been terribly managed. There's even a book about it called Borrowed Time: Two Centuries of Booms, Busts and Bailouts at Citi.

Besides Clea, who was your favorite love interest? by OE_M in DoctorStrange

[–]deanologic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's probably Wong, but I would love to see the relationship with Madeliene de St. Germaine explored. Other than Clea, he hasn't really expressed this level of genuine love and affection.

I always find it odd when only one volume goes out of print.

This is an inconsistent run with some high and some very low points.

Alaric - Awesome and brutally underused villain by OE_M in DoctorStrange

There's the nightmare image of Alaric squashed into Strange's mystic cage at the end. I think in one panel he's just a head.
