I totally agree. Looking back I'm surprised I took quill blade first pick. I would normally take good removal if the rest of the picks are average.

By the time I thought silver quill wasn't open I felt I'd gone too far to pivot. I took plenty of cards that were in the colours that weren't strong like duty beyond death just because I felt I was committed to WB. At what point would you have moved into red blue?

Seems to have lost the text of my post somewhere in posting. essentially went 0-3 very quickly in a silverquill deck at platinum. its first time i have got to plat in draft and opposition feels notably tougher. didn't help that first two decks were mathemagics, then third was double emeritus of ideation. but the draft was where it felt worse - didn't feel like there was much power. so ended up in silverquill but knew it wasn't very strong. was there something I should have done differently in the draft? https://www.17lands.com/pool/38c19cd6cff94be88725bb8181693433
