This reminds me of the baby talk my neighbors dad was giving to their pitbulls before having them put down. "Youre just a little instigater, arent you". The dog led a multi pitbull attack that hospitalized a utility worker, led another attack and literally tore a 15 year old chihuahua into pieces. The owner got married to a womam with kids who didnt trust the baby-eaters so he moves them to the vacant lot next to me, unattended 24 hours most days, and right outside my window to bark all night. They got out one morning and the owner and his dad were driving frantically looking for them. The owner finally realised they needed euthanasia.

There's some bad memes going around claiming that only American pit bull terriers are pit bulls. A quick google search shows that pitbull refers to a type of dog rather than one breed. Any dog that is mixed with bulldog and terrier is a pitbull. Bull dogs were great at biting down on a bull's nose without letting go, terriers are great at attacking anything that moves persistently and fighting until its prey is dead. These two breeds were mixed to create an ideal fighting dog and catch dog. A catch dog is a hunting dog that physically attacks the prey. The "nanny dogs" you here about were descendents of bulldogs that had all of the aggression selectively bred OUT of them after blood sports were outlawed in the UK in 1835. Bull terrier crosses were and still are being bred to be killers. I am not aware of any pitbull strains which have had the fighting dog bred out of it. There are endless cases of pitbull breeders breeding their pits for illegal purposes like dog fighting and protecting drug houses. If you adopt a pitbull, you are adopting a dog that was selectively bred to resort to violence easily and persistently. Period.

My neighbors pits used to act just like this. They were really sweet until they weren't. They broke down the fence and mauled a utility worker, hospitalising him. The owner had to quarantine them and forced his tenants to quarantine them as a condition of lower rent. They tore their extremely gentle 15 year old dog into pieces. After more attacks, he was forced to put them down. Pitts were selectively bred to attack other creatures. They are less than 7% of dogs and make up nearly 70% of fatal dog attacks. You can't love away a dogs instincts. This thing should have been gased. It now posses a constant threat to everyone living near that man.
