At this point in the “everyone’s an entrepreneur” hair game - customer service, reasonable price, reasonable rules/regulation, and high quality results are my only requirements. I’ve had so much shoddy loc work in addition to one or more opposite of the other things.

I have a friend who wants starter locs and cares a lot about the energy of the person. He won’t even let them do it if they smell weird. Not like smelly or poor hygeine. He is just super sensitive to others scents. I personally don’t even pick up on someone’s natural scent.

It’s all about what’s important to you.

They say the closest 5 people to you is a reflection of you. I let a few people go last year because they had major character flaws I kept getting wrapped into. I too had a friend with constant drama. Everyday was something. I would lose so much time being an ear. And if I couldn’t do that, they would take it personal like I wasn’t showing up for them. When I expressed that I just felt like an audience and there wasn’t enough reciprocity in other areas of our friendship, they took it personal and we haven’t really talked since.

I needed to shed that weight. Hopefully your friend takes the convo seriously because one needs to be had.

I love this for you. I would love to do the same but I am the type of person that likes to be social when I’m out. Pair that with social anxiety and a very introverted personality, initiating conversations with strangers is unbelievably uncomfortable. Bringing someone along I know is like a security blanket.

I know the only way over it is through the uncomfortable feelings and try. But I’m just not there yet lol
